Dark fruit nose. Gunpowder? Lot’s of strawberry. Exceptional etherealness already. My second place at the evening - like a Grand Cru Burgundy. 95+ for now.

A harmonious, balanced red, this sets the stage perfectly for the cherry, strawberry, floral, iron and tobacco flavors. Fresh and detailed, with a linear profile and refined structure driving the seemingly endless finish. Superb.

Rich and majestic with reference aromas that give ultimate pleasure with lovely cherries, crushed stone, lovely foliage and spices that give soul to the aromas. Nice full-bodied, energetic and really fresh wine that takes you in from the very first moment! The fruit shines brilliantly with spreading cherries, light orange fruit, graphite, herbs and spices in all their glory. A bit thin in the middle? Well, it contributes to the wine being experienced as linear and refined. The acidity delivers world-class freshness. Perfect tannins that just spread their tough joy - as it should be. Wonderful balance all the way through. Insanely long finish. This is one of a kind. Time stops. This makes the senses really sharpen. See, listen and taste. Just want more. And more. That's how a rederance wine should be. Oh yes! We want Biondi Santi into the 100 point club!

Biondi Santi Tasting (Tudor Hall, King George Hotel): Great vintage, double decanted, the oldest parcels, vinification in vertical slavonian oak, aged in Slavonian oak for 3 years, 14%, 7 year release The wine shows clear pale color The wine shows purity, fragrant, clarity, fresh, red fruit, currants, this is heartier, it has a deeper character, more depth and concentration than Brunello, a touch earthier too. With time you get some gamey notes, savoury Palate is very elegant, fresh, warmer but not hot, fresh red cherries, tight tannins, med acidity, med body, feels lighter than it is, but its more due to fine winemaking, med to long finish You could almost call it ethereal
