Garnet colored in the glass all the way through. Any ruby notes it's had are long gone. Definitely meaty, earthy, leathery, smokey with maybe some very bitter herbal and blackberry notes to it. But it seems like this bottle has lost most of its bright vibrant fruit, if it ever had any to begin with. Some real acidic backbone for sure. Notes of vanilla and old library book on the nose. Finishes with a sour-currant taste that isn't unpleasant, but certainly isn't expected. If I had to guess, I'd say the wine is a couple of years past the prime that the wine-maker imagined. Not that it's a bad wine. It's just that we're in a bit of uncharted territory at this point. Seems like it was meant to be drunk very young, and with a few years of age it seems like it just isn't all it used to have been / could have been. Will wait until trying the next bottle before passing final judgment on the whole lot.

Solid QPR pinot noir. Not memorable but an enjoyable bottle for drinking alone or to accompany a meal. Nice red fruit flavors (strawberry and raspberry) and a touch of smoke on the finish.

Light ruby in color. Strong aromas of campfire smoke, vanilla and caramel. After about an hour strawberries and raspberries. On the palate, same fruit, and spice. Medium high acid, medium tannin and lighter body. An overall nice wine.

Julienne: Light darker purple; great spicy nose of baking spice, cin. stick, tart mixed wild berries, a bit dark flavored, a bit of spicy oak, thin, but delicious, very low t’s, easy, but complex! Lots of acidity for refreshing fin. W/ Brian N and Brian Swan. Grt. w/tuscan meatloaf.

Lovely pinot spice and raspberry fruit. Definately works for the money (aroudn $19). Pinot lovers on a budget should look for this. Good the second day open too.

Wines of Australia and New Zealand (Farpointe Cellar): The nose had blueberry, raspberry, floral notes, spice, and a hint of minerality. The palate was smooth, and had cherry, berry, rose petals, and a stone finish.

Begins closed with not much nose and a funky bitterness. After an hour it evolves into a decent pinot with a lot of bright fruit, though a little thin on structure and finish. A good wine for the money, but not an exception wine.

Night 1: Fruity wine with almost too much tartness. Didn't get much of the nuttiness mentioned on the back. Smooth, small tannins and a nice crisp finish.
After a night in the fridge: Sweaty socks on the nose, this wine had evolved into a more Burgundy-esque structure. More tannins, a small amount of spice, and a well balanced, medium bodied mouthfeel.
It didn't seem like a good idea, but in hindsight a decanter would have been this wine's best companion upon opening. Very enjoyable after it oxidized a bit overnight.

Black cherry and spice nose. Medium bodied, with low tannin and medium-high acidity levels. Red currant, spice and cherry flavours leading to a medium length finish. Very well balanced. I enjoyed drinking this wine and I think it is good value for money.

Very nice QPR pinot. Distinctive due to smokiness on the nose.
