Yum!! Custard, Hazelnuts, peaches, apples, fall spice; this wine just keeps giving. Great richness and still showing vitality. There is something special about Robert Ampeau’s ability to age. This still has life left, not not forever. Bravo!!!

Still going strong, this has been such a great value Meursault over the last couple of years since the estate released stock. However, I do get the hint that perhaps this may be heading into its later drinking window.

Whhhhhhhhhhhyyyyyy???? Why does it have to end? This wine is so amazing and is just screaming with flavor. Now we are just dealing with oozing vanilla custard, smokiness and rainier cherries. No man should have to suffer knowing his final sips of this beauty is right here right now.

I recently had abandoned all faith in white burgundy. They were not blowing me away like once upon a time. Then along comes this gift from Ampeau and my faith is rejuvenated and then some. Wow!!
Baked apple, hazelnuts, white flowers, lime zest are all bouncing around here in this rich, flavorful beauty. If you can find it, double down!!!

A recent estate release, this is in a perfect spot and highly recommended for perfectly stored bottles and great value for money. Fully mature it is the embodiment of Meursault. The nose is aromatic with green apple and pear. The palate is decadently buttery and honeyed and the finish is lengthy and still retains a clean balanced steeliness. This is ready to go straight from the bottle, and it is probably advisable to be drinking this over the next two or three years.

Burnished golden colour, I suspect this bottle is advanced, not POX, as it is 25 plus years in bottle. The cork was fine. The nose is all tertiary nuts, figs, almond meal, and missing the citrus notes of previous bottles. Palate ditto, with a hardness to the finale of a rich finish. Suggest this is atypical bottle? One left to find out.

Gylden gul. På nese er denne mer reduktiv, kjøligere enn 1993 Meursault. Utvikler seg ganske mye i glasset. Litt mindre karakteristisk enn ‘93. Blir dog bedre med luft. Gule epler, blomster, smør og nøtter. Fet vin i munn. Sødmefull gul frukt. Flott friskhet. Herlig finish med popcorn, fat og gul frukt.

Deep gold color. Lush nose of yellow apple, ripe lemon and stone. Full body, complex and gracefully aged character. Gains complexity with air. Great wine.

Correct colour with a gold tinge. Lemon and hazelnuts, nougat and a long finish with a touch of honey. Not the electric drive of the bottle enjoyed November this year. Still very satisfying aged WB and a producer I will explore more. Better on day 2.

Enjoyed this golden/honey Chard with guacamole and organic blue corn chips. A deeply rich colored wine with faint hints of vanilla and peaches...no oak but a tinge of acidity and lemon to balance out the fruit.

This wine's ability to age is amazing, and whilst this delivered impeccably as usual, I feel it is starting a very gradual decline.

A sound bottle. Aromas of wet stone, mushrooms and toast. Lovely buttery and nutty taste with a waxy, long finish. Superb! Outstanding!

Blind. Meget tiltalende modent preg. Stor munnfull, men begrenset kompleksitet.

Deep gold. Ripe apple, stones fruit and oak in the nose. Soft and luscious on the palate, ending with a long finish. Those are fun to drink.

Me again, this wine keeps evolving. Now there is an amazing concentrated apricot confit joining the lovely baked apple flavors. Really amazing wine.

Very gentle, soft, concentrated, intense, pleasant and enjoyable wine. Very good to sit and drink without any food, just for the experience!
