A fabulous nose of honeysuckle, Arum lily, mint, white peach and mango. Such great intensity in the mouth and unctuous through the mid. It is sappy, deep and so long. Brilliant wine.

Vintage blind. Signature Leflaive sesame, very bright white and yellow fruit, so young I thought it was at most a 2010. I have drunk a few nearby vintages (including 99 and 02 a few times) and this utterly primary profile seems quite odd. From the same source as the odd bottle of 04 Pucelles from the night before. Hmm… 94

A supremely beautiful Leflaive this bottle was. No pox whatsoever, oozing freshness and depth immediately - sunflower oil, penetrating lemon peel, a savouriness to it aside of the bright fruit. A jewel of a bottle that would have been fine to store for another 20 years based on this particular example and a reminder who great Leflaive can be when it's on.

Perhaps it was simply the company alongside, but although the 01 BBM shows appropriately rich fruit and a nutty, almost caramel accent, this seemed loose, flabby, and relatively inarticulate for GC Puligny. Low 90s

Bought at auction. 13.5% abv. bottle# 4073. Light golden color. Nuts, citrus and some vanilla on the nose. Big, rich, lush and full bodied but with good acid. Beautiful white Burgundy. This could still go for a while in a cold, dark humid cellar. Yes, I would purchase this again.

BORGOGNA 2015; 2/22/2015-3/22/2015: Tasting at the domaine. Impiega 20 minuti ad aprirsi.... terziarizzazione mielosa quasi tostata, frutta secca e pasta di meliga. Bocca sparata tra il dolce e l' amaro, il legno è ancora sensibile. Finale salino finissimo, ricorda tanti piccoli cristalli luccicanti. Persistenza imbarazzante... a livello di 5 minuti. Un monumento dell' enologia!

HDH auction tasting at Tru; 3/21/2014-3/22/2014 (Chicago, IL): Medium gold in colour. Very, very strong petrol and sulphur on the nose that just didn't seem to go away. A big in-your-face kind of wine that has a thick viscous texture. I found the acidity a bit lacking -- the wine comes off a bit corpulent. The palate has some sweet tropical fruit notes (I picked out mango). The palate has the concentration and extract that you'd expect but there isn't enough acidity to hold everything together.

Go figure, the Grand Cru takes my WOTN at a tasting with more than 20 Bordeaux gems. Beautiful mix of lemon, toasted almonds, peach, pear, and crushed rocks. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.

clean, bright yellow. nose has that match stick lefaive nose that fades to show honey, flowers and a very well balanced long finish. improved with time in the glass...nice bottle

Bright citrus acidity, very focused and precise, pure fruit, even a bit of tannin giving the wine fantastic structure and length. Preferred over the '02 and perfect for sushi

Pronounced Leflaive aroma of sesame, white fruits like pear. So fresh. It’s not like a 01 vintage…… salty finish.

Peaches, stones, minerals. Lemon rind on the nose. Richness on the palate but definitely some acidity in the finish. Absolute pleasure to drink.
