Pnp. Dark ruby. Black and red cherry, touch of earth and spice. Medium/full bodied. Smooth and denser than most Chianti's I've sampled. Good acidity and firm tannins. Medium length finish. Paired well with meat sauce spaghetti.

Medium ruby red in color. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, strawberries & mulberries with overtones of earthy/dusty & floral notes, pine, spices, leather, herbs & a hint of balsamic & cedar notes in the background. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, plums & strawberries with herbs & minerals. Lingering finish. Quite accessible at present with decanting & much needed extended airing & should develop further with additional aging. Very good QPR for a Gran Selezione when found at discount.

For first two hours it was one dimensional and uninteresting. Started to developed in the third hour and then it was gone🙁 Will have the second half of btl tomorrow.

93-96; first bottle was truly amazing--multi-layered, medium-bodied, polished, beautiful and elegant so 96...second bottle was good, robust chianti with nice depth and layering but not quite as amazing, 93

Wine is tight, corvined into a glass. Let sit 20 minutes.
Black and red fruit, herbal notes, cassis, leather, finishes with a bit of acidity. Has a lot of complexity but also subtle. Can drink now could cellar 10 years. A (94).

Decanted 4 hours, but it was likely ready to drink before that. Tastes like a Brunello worth 3 times the price. Evolves from earthy tart cherry to a fruitier profile. Went well with seafood pasta and lasagna.

Alovely wine which punches above its weight. Fresh with a depth of flavors from cherry and plum skin to mushroom and earth. Judicious use of oak here and it lends a creaminess to the experience.

2 hour decant. Any earlier and you’ll be premature- I tasted every 30 minutes.
This is a really beautiful Chianti.
Has that mild, balsamic-mint nose that quality Sangiovese acquires. Earthy, not floral.
Medium bodied with moderate tannins offset by some syrupy balsamic glazey flavor.
Wish I bought more than 2 bottles. Will drink my final bottle on a special occasion.
