Medium purple, took a little while to open up, then nice nose of roses. Enjoyable, kinda like a spicy, lighter weight syrah. Might continue to improve.

Not sure what to make of the wine. Pretty deep purple color. Nose and palate showing red fruit with a good measure of tannin. Not a whole lot of depth or complexity.

Thought I grabbed the Zin and once I tasted it looked at the label more closely because it didn't taste like a zin. Really nice, complex with slightly restrained nose.

Very solid showing, dark purple/black profile, some rocks and minerality throughout, tannins in check but adding structure. Fruit opens up with a bit of air, and the wine was good on day 2 as well. A rustic wine in the flavor profile but very well presented.

Damn this is good. lots of fruit and structure but after 10-15 minutes inthe glass really softened up and the fruit flowed. The were big berries and plums with out the spice of a Turley Zin and now syrup like flavors. I have always drank these early and not 'understood' the varietal or perhaps the winemaker's goal. I belive this is what they were striving for. I am very pleased.

The wine was well made; good color and clarity without alcohol or oak sticking out but meh... One dimensional generic red fruit. Just seemed muddled and non-descript. As Mark C wrote the structure is bigger than the fruit profile

Let breathe for two hours. Lovely deep purple color. Nose of rich cassis, loads of cocoa powder, ripe red cherries and raspberries. Palate is round, silky, showing gobs of fresh chocolate covered cherries. Beautiful finish. Opulent and sexy. Gorgeous oak integration. This is a winner. Very nice. Always love Turley.

I don't get Charbono. I've only had a few Charbonos, and at least the Turleys are drinkable, but Charbono generally seems like an austere wine with some weird fruit notes that don't mesh with the structure. Almost reminds me of Petite Sirah in some respects. Better than the Foley version.

Full bodied. Blueberry, spice. Reminds me a little of a mature petite sirah.
