This is the best I have tasted this wine. Now full of mature flavors of dead leaf and wet wool. Complex and medium weight. Still bright in color with a brick-ish edge. Very enjoyable.

From our very cool cellar this wine is still young. Very dark for a 21 year old Burgundy with a fluffy sediment. Good depth but not oozing with Pinot Noir character that I would have expected. Light tannins. Enjoyable but not top notch. It has hardly any of the classic old Burgundy characteristics of wet wool, dead leaf and roasty character. Perhaps a few more years.

Hit or miss I suppose as the first bottle that was purchased was bad. This second one was just right. A classic aged burgundy with nice secondary notes of over-ripe strawberries and worn leather. Pleasant deep nuances of burnt caramel and cider. Delicious now.

Opened and poured into a 1/2 bottle decanter. Remained closed and unexpressive for the first 30 minutes, then started to wake up. Never really achieved what I hoped for, remained muted. Did not detect obvious flaws. Was in a line up of 12 other Grand Cru Burgs, and failed to garnish any attention. Could have been tainted by TCA, killing the nose and palate. average

WOW! I hosted a vintage Pinot/Burgundy tasting party, of which about 15 bottles were opened, vintages from 1982-2010 were tried (most were pre-2007) and this was by far the crème de la crème of the lot! TONS of fantastic, and complex red and blue fruit! Vibrant, refined, very well balanced, great finish, just a fantastic burgundy that's no where near it's prime. Should easily go another 10, 20, 30+? years! Amazing!

not much to this. tart cherries, leather, acid. Nothing particularly memorable, but not flawed in any way.

My first grand cru burgundy so I don't have anything to compare it against. But it was amazing. I loved it.
