Pnp, at restaurant. Some bricking noted. Fresh on nose and palate with upfront red and black fruits. Good acidity. Good with food. Medium bodied. In a good place tonight and still alive albeit demure on night four at home. Lots of sediment.

Sort of an experiment to keep some bottles back to see how well this ages. Overall, its doing pretty well. Interestingly it changed quite a bit within 4-5 hours of opening. Seemed much fresher, riper, with some big black fruit on opening. But then became funky, almost oxidized in aroma some 4 or 5 hours later. Still held up well, but would suggest pop and pour.

Well this one has turned a corner, and definitely for the better. Beautiful fragrant and spicy black fruit aromas. Some licorice and vanilla in the mix. Palate is bold on fruit, a touch heady and spicy, and the acidity is refreshing, which makes it a very easy drinking and mouthfilling wine right now. Slipped down delightfully.

For $22, the QPR here is quite good, although I can't really rank this among other CdPs I know and love. It has mellowed over two years since last tasting, but still retains plenty of fruit. Nice, long finish. I think this could benefit from further bottle time, but good with a full decant.

A bargain at £15 in the Lay & Wheeler sale. Bright sweet raspberry notes. Quite jammy in fact. Some garrigue herbaceous notes. Soft fruity palate. Light, good acidity and overall lovely balance.

Tasty red fruits with good acidity and balance. Some underbrush notes on the nose give a nice bit of complexity. Ripe and ready to enjoy. Downside would be that I would have liked a bit longer finish but for a $22 CdP, this is pretty good.

Nothing profound or even that interesting. Vegetal with some light red fruit and a little cinnamon stick that threatened to be interesting but never followed through. WS score is a little baffling, perhaps this was killed too young?

Aromas of fresh raspberries and French oak. Nice dark fruit flavors with some saltiness as it clears your palate. Light-medium body with moderate acidity. Soft, but present tannins on a medium finish. Good CdP for the price.

Tonight this wine edges a touch too far into candied fruit territory for my taste. I suppose that's what Parker meant when he called it "opulent". Anyway, I'm going to give it another chance tomorrow. The wine seemed to open up a little over the evening, it has robust but smooth tannings at the finish, and I really enjoyed smelling the aromas of earth and berries. As for the flavor, maybe it will taste better in a day (or a few years). Day Two: the sugarplum fairies have receded a little, revealing a more appealing and balanced wine. Still grenache heavy - baked cherries/raspberries, high acid, lavender, and other herbs. Not bad at all.

A bit rough. Slight bitter finish. Perhaps still a bit young.

Very good wine for the cost. Enjoyed with grilled lamb which was very good pairing otherwise a little too jammy for my palate.

Awesome CDP. Fresh and balanced, the essence of the 06 vintage. Dark and concentrated. Tons of garrigue. Lingers on the finish.
