Nose: Iron shavings, light toast. Little bit of chlorine. Distinctly shows “Rutherford dust.”
Palate: Lowish tannin. Medium acidity. Medium+ body. Dark berries. Lightly ripe; it’s a bit sweeter than I tend to prefer, but it’s not overwhelming. Touch of that dust, cacao powder.
Finish: Short. Jammy, black.
Overall: For sub 20 bucks it’s pretty sublime.

“Duncan Hines cake mix…the vanilla kind…” my wife’s initial impression of the nose. I got ripe, confected (think cotton candy) sweet red and black fruit. The body is plush, with enough structure to make this a ratable wine, dry enough, although a little jammy on the finish. I could serve this at a party……?

Notes of Blackberry, Cola, Chocolate and vanilla. Was a bit tight when first opened, but after a couple of hours tasted much smoother. Next day opened nicely as well. Good everyday Cab.

Let breathe for an hour and enjoyed over the course of an evening. Decent wine reminiscent of the Rutherford area and enjoyable given the price. Great everyday drinker.

Opened and sat in a glass for an hour. I think it's quite tasty, little bit of tannin but not overpowering. Super enjoyable. Darker fruit, rich, put a repour in immediately, don't know how that will effect it as I try it over the next few days.

Drank over 3 days. 2nd day was best, more balanced and smoother. 1st day was a little closed and austere. 3rd day more subdued and mellowed too much, but still ok. Distinctly Napa Cab profile and unique Rutherford "dust" like other posts for earlier vintages. Good structure, medium complexity, and subtle tannins. Good QPR for $18. Purple fringes in glass tell me it will lay down for a number of years and improve. :Probably low 90's after 2026.
