Still chugging along, reminds me of a St. Julien with a touch of dried figs, cooked strawberries, and milk chocolate. Changes a lot in the glass, still plenty of red bright fruit left and tannins to melt but the dried and cooked fruits component is a little scary for hanging on to for much longer. Starting to take on some port characteristics. They seem to be oxidizing a bit. Probably excellent with some strong flavored cheeses.
Overall a success for this winery and standing tall at 21 years of age.

Solid older Cabernet. Still drinking very well. Very smooth from start to finish. Fruits have fallen off quite a it. Tannins very, very mild. I doubt it will improve.

Not a great finish. Stewed plums on nose. Still some tannins but it's not going to improve. Not a good food wine at this point, bit still enjoyable to drink on it's own.

A dark red that is just starting to lighten and fade, with a slight hint of bricking. Pleasant, full nose of cherry with a hint of rose petal. Light mouth feel, not much weight to it. Just a hint of heat to it letting you know it still has some oomph. Fairly straightforward taste and transition, with noticeable fruit. Nice length to the finish, but nothing special. One of the better 98's I have had, quite enjoyable, a few years left in it but no room for improvement. 89-90

Mid Jan 2007: red purple color; complex bouquet of cedar, vanilla, cigarbox and some red berries; round and noble with a pleasant astringency on the palate.

Great for now, but with a sense it could continue to improve with more time
