Opened for 1.5 hrs. Nose: Medium nose intensity with notes of cedar, toasted wood, coffee, dark fruit. P: Tannins are still smoothen but still felt, med acidity, decent fruits. Felt phenolic heat when it warmed up, had to chill slightly to enhance enjoyment of fruits.
Enjoyed nose more than palate.

Medium nose intensity with notes of chocolate, coffee, black fruits, toast, charr wood. Medium+ acidity and high tannin. Tannin is little harsh for my liking. Not sure if it will improve with time. Can drink or keep.

Cork broke. Deep ruby, almost black and translucent. Tiight aromas of oak, cedar, cigar box, lead peencil with dark fruit in the background. Dry, medium-medium(+) acidity, medium firm tannin and medium(+) body. Palate of dark cherry, blueberry, bitter chocolate, some green paprika (still!). Well-defined slightly puckering finish, good length. During the course of the dinner the wine gained significantly in impact and became a more integrated elegant beauty without losing personality. In the drinking window, very accessible now. Austere, very good, and classic Bordeaux. 91+.

Kjøttfulle søte bjørnebær og solbær, fat, lær og litt kjeller i nesa. Solbær, rips og litt fat i munnen. Litt lukket i starten, men åpner seg etterhvert. Nydelig til indrefilet med bernaisesaus. Matvin, men man klarer å avslutte glasset uten at det snerper for mye. Er nok ferdig utviklet nå.

Mørke bær og kjeller i nesa, noe lukket, men kom seg etterhvert. Rips, solbær, tre og myke tanniner i munnen. Trengte fettet i fløtepotetene for å falle på plass. Slår 2010 årgangen med et hestehode denne gang.

Fragrant bouquet of ripe tomato, plums, leather and smoked bacon. Balanced and elegant palate with graphite and smoked bell pepper. Open structure, just some rough edges at the finish. A touch hollow towards the end. Ready to drink now without the need for decanting. Unlikely to improve with age.

Medium brick red. Medium intensity nose, cedar, cassis, cassis leaf, undergrowth. Fully developed. Dry palate, fine grained medium tannins, medium acidity, alcohol and body, medium intensity palate, similar to the nose, the green notes perhaps more evident, medium finish. This is mature claret that should be drunk now and is not suitable for further ageing. It is good quality with the fruit, acidity and tannins in balance, but lacks complexity and concentration. I think it is staring to fade so suggest drinking in next 12-18 months.

Vanille à l'ouverture, puis cacao, clou de girofle, côté herbacé/poivron, menthol, cassis, tabac. Le nez est supérieur à la bouche, où le vin manque un peu de structure, il a de l'acidité avec une finale assez courte.
Cocoa, clove, a little herbaceous, menthol, cassis, tobacco. Lacks structure, some acidity but with a rather short finish.

Still on my 2007 Bordeaux budget tear. This is maybe the seventh I've had in a couple of weeks and the least interesting. Just thin and a little tAnnic. Granted it was the cheapest but still I expected more. No fruit. Definitely old world. Drink now or two years ago. I have a 2005 I will open in a year or two

- Garnet color with slow forming legs and aromas of blackberry, cherry and black pepper and has flavours of blackberry, black pepper, coffee and raisin with a medium/full body. Smooth texture with a long finish - Complex and rich. Dark fruit on the nose. A bit challenging for me to identify all the smells and flavors. But I like he wine. It was a pleasure to drink, and kept me interested. All in all, a very pleasant wine. I have a bottle of the 05 as well, and am now really looking forward to enjoying that too.

Dark red colour. Wonderfully fresh nose of violets, chocolate & liquorice. On the mouth it did not disappoint with a fresh acidity & peppery red berry flavour. Tannins well integrated & a pleasant finish.

Pleasant tones of smoke and dark chocolate show at first on the nose, with blackcurrant, and a faintly earthy streak of black peppercorn open up more clearly with a spin in the glass.
Clean and austere on the palate, there is a distinct blackberry and blackcurrant tone that shows initially. This wine is very nicely balanced, with dark chocolate, smoke, and a faintly bitter, gravelly mineral note and a dark, impressive core. It’s smooth, dense, and nicely terroir driven, with a lasting, smoky finish.
