Decanted 2 hrs. Coming around as far as balance and drinkability, but the secondary flavors are still in the background, and the wine is now dominated by cherries. Tannins significantly diminished from 2 years ago, but so were the cedar and eucalyptus. This was pleasant, but I'm not sure it will ever be a great wine.

Crimson color with very slight bricking. Extremely fragrant, pleasant nose of cranberry, cherry, vanilla, cardamon, cigar box and other complexities I can't quite put my finger on. Cranberry, cherry and some green pepper on the palate; good acidity and still a substantial level of tannin. The finish is long but has a touch of bitterness. This wine has the structure to evolve and improve over the next decade.

On PnP it's aromas are largely of tight dark fruit - black cherry and plum. Entry is muted but the mid-palate and finish are there and pleasant. Clearly this one needs air. The acid is front and centre as I'd expect from Meeker. I think this will do well in an hour or so.
After a couple hours of bottle and glass air, it's opened up somewhat. More earth and oak come out and the fruit flavours have brightened up a bit.

Very good. I would be disappointed if cedar notes were created via the use of cedar chips. This is much better than prior bottle. One bottle to go until my inventory is gone. Good over at least a 2 day period. As FYI, this note is bottle 3278 of 7460.

Opened and let it breath in the decanter for 3 hours before pouring. Nose on this is loaded with dark fruit and a hint of cedar. Acidity present but not overpowering, which made it tasty even on its own. I found finish to be pretty lengthy, maybe 20-25 seconds even. For me this is one of the better sub $30 cabs I have had. Bought more. Bottle 3404 of 7640

This is a very impressive Cab. Opens beautifully, a plus nose, continued to evolve nicely over several hours. Very smooth and balanced. Great structure, depth and finish. No reason to continue cellaring this...drink up.

Paired w/ elk steaks instead of Pinot Noir or Burgundy. Quite a good match as the nose on this didn't quite stand up to the palate, and the lean elk was very delicately flavored. Remembered this being a bigger wine last time around.

I guess I was expecting more with the name and area of the vineyard. It was a very nice wine to drink. But it wasn't a tannin monster.I did decant for a couple hours. The fruit was very evident.and it was very smooth. But I think for the money you could buy something cheaper and be comparable.

Extremely closed in nose & flavor on opening. Needs 2 hours in the decanter to begin to show. Wonderful leathery tannins ... more of a hold than other '04s! I expect it will get much better with a few years bottle time.

Best description: Interesting. Tastes very very young. Extremely tannic and completely closed upon opening, it only started to come together after 4 hours of decanting plus vinturi. Powerful cedar and eucalyptus on the nose. Teeth-suckingly dry and tannic, with tart fruit and fairly intense but interesting vegetal flavors. Not your usual extremely ripe Napa cab. This may eventually be incredible, but I'm not touching it for 3-4 years.

yes, very dry and loads of tannins but a good nose and good flavors that lingers and make you want more. medium body but has a desireable nice feel....not thick sweet syrupy like caymuses that night...very crisp...not typical napa taste...very enjoyable wine.

Last bottle! Still elegant and drinking a bit young for its age. No bricking or fading.
A fine wine for grilled beef!

An elegant old lady, featuring a fine balance of fruit, wood, vanilla and cedar. Fully integrated tannins, excellent with food.

Tasted bitter and bad. Not sure if this is because we have COVID. Need to recheck in a few weeks.

Popped, poured, and consumed over 2 hours
Color: Medium red with a very slight brown/brick tinge. Medium depth of color, good clarity
Nose: Medium aromatics. Cherry/black raspberry, hint of carmel toast
Palate: Cranberry apple leading to Ranier cherry. Solid acidity.
Feel: Medium body. Small to medium amounts of rough but not biting tannins. Finish ~10 sec, mineral with a hint of oak.
