First real tasting of Gruner Veltliner and what a pity: this was really good value of money. Floral tones, Fresh, crisp fruit, nice acidity, nice weight, complex, long aftertaste (mineral tones appearing on day 2 and 3). Will definitely buy more of this!

One of the starter wines at the 4th Chicago Steak Out. Clear pale straw color. Plenty of melon on the nose. Lacked a certain minerality that I look for in Austrian Gruners. Somewhat fat with some spice and white fruit notes. 87 points.

Yellow with a hint of green. Lovely rich body with a little spritz and excellent acidity. Clean citrus aromas, greengages and a little hint of peach. Excellent structure and lovely length on the palate. Flower blossoms on the long finish. Superb.

Paired with salmon in a sauce of leek and capers, mostly because it called for white wine. Turned out to be very good, spice, pepper and crisp acidity cut through the buttery sauce. Will try some more on its own, but a pleasurable white in any event.

Loimer tasting with Fred Loimer: Light straw color. Melon, lemon and minerality on the nose. Refreshing palate with good acids. Light-bodied. Uncomplex and charming wine.

A nice wine that reminded my of chardonnay to some extent. Some fruit and a hint of grass in the flavor

Grassy nose, citrus body, less alcohol on the finish than Lois.

Crisp and citrusy, with a sneaky ripeness and fullness on the finish. Good summer sipper at a nice price.

Nice green apple and lime, with savory peppery notes. Very bright and brisk for a gruner.
