Well made for what it is, but unfortunately reminds me why I don't care for CA chardonnay. Oily on the palate, with noticeable oak. I just don't like this style.

Sweet lemon with some floral notes. Citrus and a little ripe apple on the palate with enough acidity for balance. A rather long finish for a wine at this price. Very enjoyable.

A different slant on Cal Chardonnay, a tropical nose and medium toasted oak with a modest finish. Chardonnay with a SB tart bit. The acid makes it very food friendly, so it can really be flexible.

Nice! Not over oaked on the nose, restained pear and apple fruit. Nicely balanced palate, definitely shows sweet oak, hints of coconut along with the apple and apple pie flavours. Hints of spice on the finish. Complex and quite interesting. Well balanced for a cali chard.

Drink now, if you have to drink a calchard... given its type, this is restrained, but for me it's still far to thick on the tongue and the oak is too noticeable in the nose and finish (palate calibration: I prefer Chablis to White Burg); I'd rather drink their regular bottling, and I don't see this coming into better balance or structure over time

Medium yellow clear color. Nose of apple and lemon, with oak. The nose is sweet smelling. The smells stick around on the palate. There is nice acidity, and the oak is subtle and well integrated. Mid-length finish. No harsh edges anywhere on this wine. I like it better than last year's.

From memory of tasting-room note; for me this '06 vintage is one of the better Navarro Chardonnay offerings in recent memory. I like the acidity and pure apple flavors. I agree with the previous TN that this does seem a bit disjointed and too oaky for its own good. There is a toastiness and some buttery malolactic; however, this drinks like a stainless steel aged wine as well in terms of fruit purity.

Hmmm... maybe opened too soon and perhaps this needs time to integrate, but this wine seemed a bit out of balance; I actually prefer the simple "Table Wine" Chard to this. A bit too ambitious in the winemaking with a bit of a heavy handed treatment of oak. The fruit doesn't seem able to support the barrique. Drinkable, but a bit too creamy, sweet and slightly bitter.

Great balance. Lemon and apple with a tropical fruit finish. Not too much oak. Highly recommended for the price
