Popped and poured. There most be bottle variation or storage issues, as I do not get the oaky jammy flavors of some (and I generally do not like either of those taste profiles). Instead the color is a deep medium red with some minimal bricking. There is a lovely nose of currants, hints of raspberries, leather, marzipan, and earth. A bit short on the attack, but opening up to some nice red syrupy cherries, hints of violets. 91+

Decanted about 1 hour. I wanted to share this with the family, even though it was my last bottle. Lots of dark red fruit, pepper and spice. Approaching some of the really good PB Cabs.

DEcanted about 1 hour. Pulled this based upon other notes on the site and wasn't expecting much. Was I ever surprised. Opened up nicely with hints of dark red fruit, pepper and spice. Had with a nice rib-eye and this got better, aproaching some of the really good PB Cabs. My wife and I were really impresed with this. Damn glad I have another bottle.

Much to our surprise this bottle came in last in our wine club's blind tasting of 6 red blends which included Owen Roe '05 Abbot's Table, Whitman '05 Narcissa Red, David Coffaro '08 Ultimate Cuvee, Isenhower '06 Red Paintbrush, Glencorrie "07 Cuvee Marquis, and Pepper Bridge '05 Pepper Bridge Vineyard. This was the most expensive bottle in the group.

Probably over the hill. Hot year, this wine tastes moderately over-ripe and likely over-oaked, lots of baked notes.

Initially jammy, then smoothed out as it opened up; complex aroma, nice dark fruit
