This has that 'aged-wine' stewed tomatoes aroma and flavor that evolves into juicy red fruit over the first 30 minutes or so, plenty of tannins, but soft and elegant; a laid-back, tasty wine.

Fruity nose. Cassis and stewed dark cherry with a light backbone of toasted oak and fairly short finish. It was quite drinkable right out of the bottle, but faded fast after about a day even with a vacuseal. Drink now.

A very tasty Tempranillo, rich, dark fruit with good acid bite and spice characteristics. Compared to the Southern Oregon cabs we had, this was far better.

Really nice American Tempranillo. Very fruit forward. Another year and this wine will be ready to pour upon corking. Although it's drinking very nice now.

Nice, though still young. Ran through aerator to help open it up. Good acid and tannins, light red fruits and some spice. Didn't quite finish the bottle on night one, and came back to it the next day - smoother, still had good fruit and enough tannins. Will drink well over the next couple of years.

Previous notes have been right on. Great tannins. Floral and dark fruit nose. Plum, cherry tannic in the mouth. Goes for a mile. Like this a lot! I definitely want to drink this in another year or two.

Opened 1/2 hour prior to diinner...yet there was little aroma emanating from bottle or subsequent glass. A very full bodied wine with deep, impenetreble red color and large legs yet no identifiible fruit. No tannins and thoroughly enjoyable, a reasonably priced product of modern wine making yet without the distinct characteristics one would expect from an estate tempranillo ( a brave and well intentioned effort by the southern Oregon winemaker) ...in other words not yet so very different from many other modern wines on the market...believe this will eventually become an Oregon icon but not there yet.

A very nice wine with some spice and earth along with red/black fruit. Will the fruit or tannins win in the long haul? Why wait, drink now and save the "Estate" version for a few years.

Has some very nice flavors, but unbalanced. Too much tannin. My teeth feel clean after drinking this.

Lighter than I had anticipated. Still tasted youthful, but I do not think it will improve.

St. John on Wine - Tempranillo (Perman Wine Selections, Chicago, Illinois): Light fruit smell, not on the jammy side like a few of the other Tempranillos. The lighter fruit (strawberry) comes through in the taste as well. This is quite tannic and has an acidic finish to it.

Drank at a dinner party, so not many notes. Very inky dark, with fine tannins and black/blue fruit flavors.
