QPR Heaven. rich but not unctuous with alcohol in check. the shiraz gives it a nice peppery note while the merlot gives some plummy flavors and soft ripe tannins. nose of chocolate, plums, and tobacco. a touch of a bitter finish is all that holds this wine back. a bargain for £6

Dark dark maroon color. Very beautiful. Earthy, smoky nose with a little fruit. First taste: Fruity sweetness which transitions to a smoky and dark, maybe even some chocolate/cocoa as well. On second day (the last of the bottle) I even noted some hints of Luden's Honey Cough Drops; but that's a good thing. Medium tannins, mild to moderate 'bite' on the sides of your tongue. Not too dry either. Pleasant long finish, nearly 20-30 seconds. Very well structured and a pleasant surprise.

Drank w/ Tes & Katherine. Bouquet and taste were straightforward cherry. Not a lot else going on, but easy drinking and fruity. No evident tannins, and less dry than what we typically drink. Might be a good starter red for a friend you're trying to wean off white zin!

Personally, i enjoyed this far more than the other tasters. Rich and lush. Lots of deep black ripe fruits. Good with meat and BBQs

Fairly typical Oz, deep burgandy, fruit forward some licorice, chocolate. Medium finish, not particularily complex but decent value.
