Drinking beautifully and held up well over two days. Perhaps at its best on the 2nd day. Still a dark, inky purple with clear, slow legs and moderate sediment - decanting recommended. Expansive, floral nose blossoming out of the glass with extra cherry and sweet tobacco notes. Fully resolved tannins and aged fruit character that also puts a little tart pinch on the end of the palate. 5+12+16+8 = 91

This is in a great spot right now, and has at least a few years in it. The first twenty minutes were frightening -- the wine tasted totally spoofulated, with some off tastes to boot. But 30 in it began to integrate, and 60-120 in the wine became quite elegant. Very smooth tannins, low acidity, medium finish. Soft red fruit. (Went great with our burgers, but wouldn't re-up on this one at Rimmerman's 30, much less at the recommended 48.)

The inital funk of the aroma subsided after half an hour or so revealing a very nice citrusy bordeaux blend. Not fabulous but good with a red onion and fennel sausage pizza.

Same notes as my last bottle. This is my last bottle which is too bad as it is a really nice bottle of wine. But the time to drink it is now - I don't see it getting any better.

Similar notes as the previous bottle, but seems to be more harmonious a couple of years later. Tasting very nice right now - not sure it will get much better - will probably drink my last bottle by year's end.

There is a lot of fruit here and the tannins are softened but bright. I going it a bit out of balance as the oak was a bit too promanent. I also noticed an astringent property. The finish did not have much length. That being said, others at the table enjoyed it.

A little heat on this wine still, somewhat oak dominated, but still a good overall blend. The drink by 2013 for this wine is nonsense. The wine is not fading in any way although arguably it's not going to get a ton better.

- Brick color with fast forming legs - Fruit jumps out of the glass in this wine. Blueberry and cherry on the nose. Black cherry and blackberry notes on the pallet. Short finish. This should be paired with sausage or pasta dish, as the tannins are still vibrant.

A Garagiste homerun. Best QPR I've had in a while. Paired beautifully with a porterhouse. One of the more balanced wines I'veever tasted, and definitely improved with air. Oscilallted between dark fruits and floral notes, and silky smooth on the palate. Kept sticking my nose in and inhaling deeply, exhalling contendedly. Always a good sign. Drink up.

PNP last night with grilled Flank Steak. Brilliant right out of the bottle and bursting with dark red and black fruit. A little green pepper on the nose to give it the right dose of complexity. Silky smooth with a generously long finish. Wonderful!

Lot's of big, dark red fruit. This wine was really "juicy". Decanted a couple of hours and opened up very nice. Definitely in it's prime and ready to drink.

great bottle of wine, great example of what WA can/should be...dimensional, yet very round and great mouth feel. I'm not sure I agree with other reviewers that time in the bottle will add to it's enjoyment. drink up in my opinion!

Popped and kept in bottle for 3 hours as we had no decanter. Dark color and tastes of red fruits. Very balanced bottle of wine - no harshness, but this will be even better in 3 to 5 years.

This wine has a lot of structure, with still-noticeable acid and tannins, along with good fruit, on day four. Dark concentrated fruit, slightly sweet. California-esque in a good way. Was lovely paired with a steak. I liked it quite a bit. This had some sediment, so I would recommend standing it upright for a couple of days before serving and decanting.

The flagship -- the best blocks with the best barrells and then hand selected from there. 18 months in oak, mostly french, a touch of american maybe because the merlot see american. So "the best of the best" from the winery is the idea.
And its pretty darn tasty. I wish my palate wasn't completely shot out right now.

This wine didn't come across well after an Efeste and a Page. A bit more tannic, low fruit, and definitely better with food.

Still quite delicious, but has become a little more one-dimensional. I would drink remaining bottles sooner rather than later.
