A very reliable sangiovese. I have enjoyed every bottle. A great balance of tannins and a hint of fruit. A bit rounder than most montepulicano d'abruzzos. The wine looks Ruby colored. The body is Medium. The wine has Round texture. The wine finishes Short.

Recently brought this to my favorite BYOB Italian restaurant and was really surprised. A simply enjoyable all-round food wine. I wish I'd bought a case.

This was an excellent wine paired with both cheese and then our veal dinner. There was a lot going on with this wine from the start which highlighted cloves and currants and then after an hour it opened up a lot and gave us better hint of berries, in particular raspberries. This wine also really offered strong tannins.

(I am not well calibrated on this style.) Normally I drink Cabs, and I found this stunningly dry on first tasting. Tannins were very pronounced, but different in character than most other reds. Not that I can really taste this, but it seems like there are more of them but they are smaller. Once opened up a bit this was very pleasant. I am typically less impressed by Italian wine than most, and think it just isn't my style, but this one I really liked.

This wine is a what one expects from a Tuscan table wine -- some cherry, some leather, some cedar, good acidity -- this wine has it all for $7. It's got good mouthfeel, almost viscous, with a nice finish. Went perfect with pizza and pasta.

An easy Montepulciano at a great price. Nice floral nose. Berries with a bit of anise in the mid-palate--but not much standing out. Short, crisp finish. I'll go to this again...

Short impressions: Quite a dose of VA(?) after opening, blows off after a while revealing a hearty rustic red, medium body and good acidity. Should be nice with food like sausages, salami or a pizza. Good and good QPR. Drink or hold.

Lots of earth and very little fruit in this well balanced, food loving wine.

Black licorice nose, with a leathery component and good heavy tannins on the palate.

Good mouth feel. Typical table wine flavor. Not too bold, but fairly complex. Great deal for $7.

Workaday Italian that got the job done with pasta and tomato sauce but left no lasting impression.

Consistent with previous notes. Darn good deal for $7. Very enjoyable bottle. Deserves a bump up in rating.

Consistent with previous notes. Nice Italian wine with no surprises -- exactly what one would expect in a vino di tavola.

Good overall for the price. Decent tannin & acid balance, a little shorter on the mouthfeel. Red berries, bit of leather.
