Gorgeous. moderate deep scarlet. lovely maturing red fruit. A few years ago, I thought this was going downhill, but this bottle was lovely and blew away the 2000 Pegau Cuvee de Capo served blind along side it.

Light garnet color. Still tastes nicely of sweet berry fruit and some loamy earthiness and spice on the nose. Tannins have by now receded but still provide some dryness in the finish. Light spice in the back palate. Nice presentation for an old Grenache; the petite syrah has given this some more structure and a longer life. I am trying to catch up on my older Ridge ATP wines; this is a delight to drink.

Still lots of fruit, but showing secondary flavor characteristics too. Not over the hill, but it's not going to get any better. Very enjoyable for its rich red/dark red fruit and tannins that provide a nice structure. At The Playground with wine group.

Good stuff. Nice and mature. Little too much leather & dry oak in the end, but great dried fruits & hers. Some meat/bllod as well. Nose a little tough to get much from.

Translucent bright garnet. Pretty nose of cherry licorice, flowers and Zin bramble. The palate is pretty as well. Somewhat dilute on the end with alcohol heat. Overall, a nice wine without too much in the way of distinction.

Very tasty. The color of the wine surprised me; it was lighter than two of the three Pinots on the table. Not showing any age. Somewhat reticent bouquet at first of dark fruit, which opened up to reveal more reddish notes as the night wore on. Simultaneously powerful and restrained in the mouth. Good acidity. The Petite Sirah and Zinfandel do give this some added intensity and backbone, a dark richness that comes in on the back side of the palate. Really quite pretty.

Rich, full, highly aromatic. This wine grabs you by the nose with red fruit, subtle oak, hints of vanilla and dust. The fruit tastes darker, with a mid-length finish. Very good.

This is a lovely kickass wine. The Petite Sirah gives it a little more structure than a typical Grenache based wine. The Zin adds some brambly character. Sorry this is my last bottle.

This wine is delicious. Structure from the Grenache and Petite Sirah, but lovely fruit flavors from the Grenache and Zinfandel. 78% Grenache, 12% Petite Sirah, 10% Zinfandel.

Full of sweet, jammy fruit, this is in fact so jammy I would have trouble telling it was Grenache (mostly) if tasting blind. Yet the fruit is rich and sweet enough that this wine gives considerable pleasure. Some fine tannins still lurk at the finish. This could probably stand a few more years in the cellar if you like your wines with a little age on them.

Explosive nose of raspberry fruit, good midpalate, but the finish is a little short. I'll sit on the rest for at least a year to see if it rounds out a bit more.

Dark ruby...nice nose of raspberry/blackberry syrup, earth, spice and vanilla - more upfront, immediately on the nose than I usually expect from Ridge...dense on the palate, fairly full structure, handles the tannin with nice fruit and weight, dark, dark fruit - seems to straddle the line of ripeness and balance, just about going over to a porty side after some time in the glass. I liked it for what we used it for, that bottle of wine you shouldn't be going into the cellar for after a long night of consumption. ATP Club wine.

This ATP selection is deep crimson in color, with a little pink at the edges. It has an inviting nose of raspberries, crushed cherries, vanilla, spice, and just a hint of oak. Medium bodied and soft, with moderate amounts of glycerine, the flavors echo the nose, with the addition of a little grapeyness. The finish is long, ripe, and fruity, and lingers nicely. It has the goods to hold for a few years.

Delicious. Spectacular. Complex red and blue fruits still intact. Tasted like a well aged CDP.
