On the nose- Big dark fruits, plums, dark broody cherries, dark blueberries, cassis, dark blackberries, pencil lead, leather, baking spices, cedar, bay leaf's, oak, vanilla
On the palate- Big dark fruits and plums, dark broody cherries, dark blueberries and cassis, dark blackberries and pencil lead, leather and baking spices, cedar and bay leaf's, oak and a hint of vanilla on the finish. The finish is smooth yet brooding with great fruit and structure, This wine is drinking fantastic now with a lot of bottle age being 15 plus years old but I see things holding on for another 3-5 years but drink up and enjoy.

- Garnet color and aromas of cherry. It's overly acidic and has flavours of cherry with a light/medium body. Linear texture with a short finish - After fighting through the cork and splatter shirt, the wine continued to disappoint. Fruit that goes flat and a wine that flashes on the palate. Sorry, no attaboy on this one.

Red fruit. tannic as hell, which I like, otherwise decent balance. Does fade a bit in the glass. 88-89 points. Day 2: Serious softeming of tannins. Now picking up a pepper element. Wouldn't hold any for day 3. Like that ever happens... Note: soft cork, crimbling on the inside, bled almost through to the capsule, but i don't think it effected the wine.

Despite the uninspiring notes on CT I had been wanting to try this for some time. Big letdown. Very ordinary, unbalanced tannin, lacking interest on the palate. Pleasant enough for the first half-glass if I'd had food to go with, but then the tanning started taking over and it just became something of a chore to drink. Major pass at $22

Dark color Nose of cherries and merlot On the palate this wine was a monster The fruit was plentiful at first, but then faded All that was left was a lot of acid and very chalky tannins Did not improve the next day 50+4+11+12+6

nose showed some promise with plums, black cherries and cedar. but the palate was pretty hollow. not much going on. silky mouthfeel is the best thing its got going for it.

Was told this is like a Pomerol. It's not. Drinking relatively well, a little too much acid but just enough weight and depth with hints of leather and tobacco to make it a little more interesting. It was decent but not worth the $$.

Nose is strongly black cherry and nice level of oak. Mouth feel wasn't as smooth as I feel merlot should be. Palate of cherry, black pepper and tannins - there doesn't seem to be the fruit necessary to eventually integrate the tannins. Probably not going to get any better.

Red-purple color. Red berry nose. Palate full of dried cherry, black pepper, and a slight herbaceous element. Hollow mid-palate; a very thin wine throughout. Heavily underperforms for the price point. Not a bad Merlot, per say, but certainly not worth $30. Stick with the Pinot if you need to drink Sinskey.

Great rich fruit, smooth tannins, but hollow and flat (I tend to think this of most Merlot. For Merlot this was very good.) This can stay in the cellar for several years though I don't think it's likely to improve much. Nice with duck sauvage

This wine's kind of like Brutalist architecture - vastly overbuilt and charmless. No flaws I could detect, just I didn't really enjoy it. Cherry fruit hidden behind acidity and dry tannin on the palate. Nose-wise, nothing stood out - just basic cherry and oak, not overly expressive.

Not as tannic as last bottle. Great nose (cherry), red fruit on the palate. Cork in better shape.

Starts out OK, pretty and restrained, but quickly becomes fatter and riper.
