Blackberry fruit with that heavy, bassy malbec note to the center of it. Fruit stay through on the palate. Finish is fine for the price. "Pan grille" mid palate. But lively, and not so heavy and one dimensional as most malbecs at this price. Is that Valle Escondido terrior showing through?

color: light eggplant purple; nose: plum, faint oak and vanilla; taste: medium mouthfeel, plum mid-palate, finishes medium-long with pleasant coffee-tobacco taste (wine's single best feature); overall: thoroughly decent at $9/bottle (Morris Miller in DC) and worth buying again as a value-priced everyday wine.

A very drinkable and pleasant malbec, with a liittle spicy and peppery flavor, and maybe a hint of licorice. Jen Frankie highly recommends this with chicken pesto pizza, and Coleen agrees that it even better with the second glass.

Wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. Not a real full bodied malbec. Not too fruity, pepper present and for me on the lighter side. Easy drinking for every day. Would buy again.

I think it is a very 'new age' kind of wine, but it really appeals to my tastes. For the price it is fan-tastic.

lots of fruit, and a bit high on the alcohol. also, there's a strange soapy aspect on the finish.

RUSSK Not that great. Nose of burnt rubber. Thin and a bit tart with some bitterness in the finish. Would not buy again.

Plenty of fruit. Nice purple coloring. Earth tones. Hints of spice too.

Some dark fruit on the nose, mild flavor, unimpressive, but drinkable.
