Second time I have had this and my last bottle. Crumbly cork. Not decanted. Softer than the last bottle I had. Notes of blackberries, mint and raw meat. The tannins were fading but there was an elegance about this wine. 89 points.

Still great. Am on campaign to make room in my cellar for new acquisitions, and have found some bottles that I overlooked and may now be past their prime. Not this one! Fruit on the nose, berries and licorice on the tongue. Very smooth, aged very well.

Tasted alongside the 2006 Silver Label. Both still fresh and delicious, the Silver actually showed as well or better than the Olive Hill. Previous "drink now" comments are nonsense.

Cherries and plums on the nose. Nice legs and dark ruby color. Full bodied, but not syrupy. Plums, cherries, and anise on the palate. Slight oak, no tannins or acid. Smooth, warm finish.

I like to try Sonoma Valley cabs because they are not Napa . Medium weight in the nose and mouth. Nice balance of oak, fruit and herb, little heat on the mouth. I do not know what I paid for it but I know what it cost now and I would not buy it again.

Medium indigo color. Berry and spice on the nose. Dark cherry, black raspberry, clove and a touch of cinnamon on the palate. Full bodied with silky tannins and a lingering finish with a hint of smoke.

It is really difficult to describe how well made and appealing this is by CA standards. It is not a fruit bomb or an oak monster. It is a layered wine, that features interesting Mediterranean elements, including olive, garrigue, and seasonings, along with excellent terroir elements and solid minerality. Consumed over three days, had it a 91-92 on the first and second days. The third day put it over the top. A substantive and attractive wine in all regards!

PnP w/45 min decant. Clear w/very min sediments at bottom. Nice Cab nose. A fairly intense wine w/good structure and balance. Long finish. Better as the night went on with more air time. Drinking well now and better than expected. Nothing off.

100% Cabernet. 2006 was a warm year with a small concentrated crop. I haven't had this wine since the 1993 vintage. Drank alongside the 2003. Medium red color. Notes of dark cocoa, berries and menthol. 89 points.

Nose of red cherry, black cherry, oak, cinnamon, anise, black currant. Palate very similar to nose with medium alcohol and silky tannins. Really enjoyed this wine...more than I expected actually. Probably in it's prime right now, but will drink well for the next 2-3 years. I wish I had another bottle.

Much more focused notes Nicholas and I believe him. More cherry on the nose than the Silver Label and also more wood. But more refined and elegant as well. More blue and black fruit, more mineral depth. But it should since the price is so much more than the Silver Label.

'06 was high on concentration so lower on yield. 100% Cab, 100% new French for 24 months. Cherry fruit nicely balanced with mocha, hints of orange and green. Tight now, drinkable but youthful. To hold. I could see it at $55 but would prefer it at $49.

Was a bit worried given the year but after a little time it opened up and we really enjoyed with dinner. But definitely drink em if you have em.
