  • Last bottle. Delicious. Very classic Chablis notes - sea breeze, citrus, hints of aging oriented butterscotch. Excellent.

  • Bottle #5 of 6. Superb cut and balance. Beautiful saline characteristics, gorgeous lemon-oriented fruit, and all that 07 Chablis precision. Rocking now, and gently declining for another 5 years or so.

  • Still going strong. Crystalline, detailed, seabreeze mid palate, and nice, underripe, understated finish. Squeaky clean wine. Five more years, but no reason to wait - this is showing all it's got.

  • I have had a lot of bottle to bottle variation, with some pre-ox, albeit mild. This score reflects the bottle I had tonight, which was terrific. Fresh and lively - nice balanced acidity. A touch of oak. What stood out was the citrus, honey and apple flavors.

  • Overall this wine has been drinking well over the past few years, but it has had huge amounts of bottle variation. Either too oxidized, corked along with some that were quite good. But based on my experience with the last 6 bottles, it is clearly time to drink whatever you have left, with some expectation that not all bottles will be up to snuff. Unfortunate, because there were some very good ones along the way. My score is for the best bottles.

  • Young and precise with excellent Chablis typicity. Strong acid and tart lemon flavours. Very good.

  • This bottle clean, and stylish, but a bit more muted than the last - just never really blossomed, even after tracking for three nights. Fading? I doubt it, but maybe.

  • Solid showing. Light vanilla notes but otherwise very clear and clean, light wool notes, slightly rounded sides, very '07 in its directness and precision. At one point it shows light aged notes and then, oddly, a Riesling-like note of petrol, but it's fleeting and soon disappears. Good minerality and good clarity stay with this wine over two nights, and it's just as good on the second night, maybe a touch brighter and better.
Overall, very pleasing, still quite fresh, very impressive. Bottle 6 of 6 and I wish I had more.

  • Sea breeze, crisp ripe fruit, and squeaky clean hints of butterscotch, all in a crystalline, detailed package. This is just beginning its run, and it looks to be a brilliant one - another 6 to 8 years easily (barring the pox). This may even improve, but is spectacular now, in an understated, precise way. Bravo, especially for the tariff on release. 92pts pure quality, 94pts personal preference.

  • Salty, very light clean minerals, medium acid, candied lemon notes; medium body, good zing but a little neutral at first. Opened up a little when warming up. 88-89

  • Nice showing. Clear palate, white orchard fruit, with additional notes of wool and saline, and nice acidic spine. I don't get any of the butter notes I detected in my last bottle in January 2012, rather, old wood which has integrated nicely. This is very drinkable indeed. Before I realized it, most of the bottle was gone. This has developed and integrated nicely and is drinking very well currently.

  • No formal notes. Surprisingly, this had a ton of ‘oak’ notes on the nose. If tasted blind I would have guessed a heavily oaked Cali chard from the nose, but the palate is more Chablis-like. Good acidity but really not what I was expecting from this. Hopefully just a bad bottle or bad stage for this wine. No rating.

  • heck of a deal ... a great hot summer afternoon wine. Crisp and elegant without any overpowering stainless or oak ... just right down the middle

  • Brilliant '07 1er Chablis. Noticeably vibrant green tinged pale yellow. Blazing acidity, creamy citrus-oriented, very clean Chardonnay fruit and tons of balanced minerals. One of the nicest Chablis I've ever encountered - on its balance, precision and personality. Bravo! Not quite there yet, will be in '14, and another 8 years thereafter. There's upside to this 92 pts.

  • Delish; soft rocky wet minerality, nice underripe white fruits and citrus; very good aperitif wine.

  • Opens nicely. First impression of apples, with a clear note of butter. More golden than white or clear. Some new oak notes. Full bodied, with moderate underlying acidity. More butter and lightly baked sun fruit than screetching acidity, but well proportioned and not overdone. Really interesting after a few hours of air, with a butter top note, along with wool, but the finish shows great minerality and lemon acidity, with a long, energetic sustain.
On the second night, the apple notes are less overt and the wine comes across as gentle, with wool notes, yet the oak is clearly showing. I'm not a fan of strong oak in Chablis, but I like a bit of it, Raveneau-style, and this wine is reminiscent of that; any more and it would come across as excessive. In a good place now.

  • Med pale yellow w sl. green tinge - lovely, complex, citrus, mineral, subtle spice nose, very pure Chardonnay - Day one it was a bit tight and acidic, but Day two it had opened up nicely and was really singing - still great acidity, but smoothed out - long finish - very pure, mineral driven apple and citrus notes, quite vinous - really lovely bottle of wine. Will likely get better.

  • Massive improvement over the last year. Nose with low tide on a hot summers day and vague animal notes. Lemon, low tide and minerals in the mouth.

    Great wine with sushi.

  • MEM: Very nice, vibrant, electric, high a’s, pure cold stream rocks, chalk; thot could be a SB it was so vibrant. Excellent place now! Some good trop frt notes and touch of melon undertone to hint at chard. (blind). Exceelent--grt advice in previous note.

  • This wine just keeps getting better. Good clarity, clear fruit and lots of minerals. The minerals really came out on the second night. The finish is remarkably long, with minerals and tangy acidity staying in the mouth long after swallowing.

  • Very high acidity. Lemon, unripe lime and grass. The acidity of this wine needs food, preferably fat food, to work with. If tasted blind, I would have guessed Sancerre.

Good match to fishcackes and home made mayonnaise.

  • Last tasted in 11/09 (TN below), this has come along nicely and cellaring has made this wine much better. It's much more cohesive, and shows good acidity and lots of minerality. Very nice. Better even on the second night, with clear and lemony fruit, good focus and lots of minerals.

  • One of my favorite 1er's ever. The nose is classic, almost exaggerated Chablis. Rocks and minerals, sea breeze, crushed shells, iodine, lemon. Fresh and crisp, yet surprisingly viscous despite the sensation of drinking liquid rocks. My P/Q of the year thus far.

  • Initially, Deb notes that it lacks substance and is too acidic (she moved on to the 06 Lafouge Meursault), which I think is indicative of this wine's current lean state. But it's the acidity that draws me in, along with lime and minerals. After a few hours of air, the wine softens somewhat and becomes even easier to drink. Still, it's too young and needs some time to fill in, but I think the raw materials here are promising. On the second night, the wine is showing oak and alcohol. Needs some time.

  • Anita: Great searing a’s, light, focussed minerals, lemon, rocks. This is classic and on lean side. Needs 1-2 years. W/Kiki, michelle, Val, Nordine. 89-91 in 3 years.
