Dark rich color, earthy, wood bark nose with some hints of wintergreen tobacco. Charcoal oak on tongue, fruit from strawberry to black raspberry. Short finish. Overall, good price point and good value from a great vineyard. Folks will be disappointed if they are expecting this to stack up with the vineyard's high end cabs.

nice PURPLE COLOR, pleasant nose of black currant and floral undertones, decent dark fruit but a bit too tannic, not nearly as nice as the '05, some time may improve this wine a lot

Deep purple, typical new world cab character but as KVM noted, a little stemmy and oaky. Even after several hours of air is was still somewhat astringent. Not as good as the 2005 and no longer a decent QPR Napa Cab (at least in my area).

I got too excited by the name "Phelps". This is a lower end offering? Tastes like it. Cabernet dark fruit flavours but it tastes overmade - a little bit stemmy or oak extract or something. No second bottle for me.

Solid example of low end Napa cab. Varietally correct flavors, color, and nose. If not for folks like Cameron Hughes, I'd call this an exceptional value.

Comparing to the 2005 I've had a while back, seems ordinary cabernet. Prominent acid and a short finish.

Drinking well right now. A beautifully balanced Cabernet. Very enjoyable with Roast Beef.

Unfortunately nothing remarkable about this bottle-no memorable characteristics. Garnet in color, tree bark on nose/taste.
