Wowzaa! This is a dynamite white, and a complete surprise on a Tuesday nite...nose indicates some age, waxy nuances...the palate on the other hand is fresh, vibrant and crisp. Delicious and one of my surprise whites of the year.

Last of two bottles (first bottle tasted in June 2005). Time has smiled favourably on this wine. This surpassed my previous bottle, which I had already labeled a "close to perfect Aussie Semillon", making this THE perfect semillon. With all the aromas and flavours of my previous note, with the added suggestion of nuts and a hint of petroleum. I feel that this can only continue to improve in complexity.

Wineflock - 2003 Bordeaux, Parker 90+ (Ken's): Pale white/yellow. Full rich aroma of spicy yellow fruit. tight yellow fruit with good acidity, spice, and some petrol hints? Tight with plenty of oak but great concentration.

WOW! Delicious. Opened 3 days ago to taste, forgot about in the fridge and this is what emerged...nutty and outrageously harmonious on the palate and nose. Best yet IMO from Henschke Semillon. **** out of *****.

Patriotic Aussie Green and Gold in the glass. Pear and citrus on the nose, extending to the palate with additional notes of lanolin and herbs, with a long and orange-zest-fringed/mild-spice finish. Balanced, mouth-refreshing acidity. A close to perfect Aussie Semillon IMHO!

Dinner at Roy Hersh's (Roy's place, WA): Nice nose of pears, which follows onto the palate as green pears. Nice acidity. A little waxy lanolin. Youthful. Tastes a little like a dry Riesling from Alsace. Good wine.
