Chambolle-Musigny for Dummies: Very similar to village version, but bit denser and the aromas are more vivid, however the overall impression is pretty similar. That is a very good wine worth its Ch-M 1er Cru status. Elegant Burgundy as it should be. Wine at its peak - drink now.

Lovely orange hue. Intense nose of pork wood liquorice herbs. It holds the line. Still very fresh acidity. Not the softest of mouthfeel but lovely lasting chalky tannins. Rocks!

Absolutely lovely nose. Full, evolved, mighty with forest floor, gun powder and delicate red fruit. With air more perfume enters. Indish spices, raspberries and some hints of black olives. Very complex. Generousity and elegance combined. Very round, full, smooth palate. Aromatic and perfumed. Toasty oak, but not disturbing. Very succulent and tasty. So generous, so fat and smooth. So long and spicy. Tasted blind, this was a very generous top Burg. Not really GC persistence, but not far behind. Some parts of Combe d'Orveau was incorporated into the great Musigny as late as 1989 if I remember corrctly.

Excellent burgundy. Translucent colour, warm bouquet and soft taste that lingered

Over rated this back in 09 by some marging. Now it’s a mature wine and it is a fine wine indeed, but rather 93p.

Still some oak, fairly light, elegant, wonderfully tart and with strawberries. Drank well over serveral days. Give this wine a couple of more years.
