light aromas rhubarb and pinot funk, flavors of red fruit, nice minerality, a bit of chewing tobacco, (more levi garrett than redman, if you know, you know) good finish. opened and stood up 1:20 in cellar, consumed over several hours. 88

I gave this the worst possible opportunity- too cold, no real chance to open up, etc. But this showed nicely- in particular, the structure was a real surprise for this vintage and level. Some signs of Nuits like complexity in iron to add to the fruit, but still not terribly expressive / complex. Chevillon has to make the most consistently excellent Bourgogne rouge I've know.

just when I was ready to swear off Bourgogne as overpriced, I open this very nice bottle that reminds me that there is, indeed, a big difference between Bourgogne and Loire PN, and it can be worth the difference in price. A solid, responsible wine, as the Chevillon brothers are wont to produce.

Satisfies the burgundy craving I often get, but nothing special. Moderate nose of cherries and some faint spice and earth, palate is fairly light, elegant, cherries and spice and acid. Pretty typical for burgundy, very good for a bourgogne, pretty good qpr at $25.

tinted with a blood-orange color, expresses fresh flowers, soil, and crushed red cranberries on the nose, tart cherries, pomegranate, wet garden, and mineral on the palate, transitions well over the palate, solid finish of cranberries, light bodied but comes with a nice intensity, round, not a bad match with herbed chicken, can be enjoyed with decanting now, but should develop well over a couple years

I was curious to open a 2007 before it might go to sleep. accordingly very much on the fruit: cherries, various red (berry) fruit, soil, wet stone. this will be an 'early drinker'. keep!

A very good Bourgogne that has nice Pinot fruit and some earthy notes. Elegant texture and good balance. A simple, but nice drinking wine.

Floral; red fruits. Ripe and fleshy, but fairly anonymous.

A nice mild, well balanced Burgundy. Nice cranberry notes, paired excellent with domestic lamb.

Tart red fruits; some iron and floral notes. Seems lighter, less depth than the '06 or '05. Though should improve over the short term.

From barrel at the Domaine. Crunchy red fruit with very good minerality and decent length for a villages level wine. Moderate acidity.
