Had at July RSW event at Brandermill Country Club with Poached Pear, Bacon and Stilton. This wine did not go with the food. It was a little light. No finish

Pale color. Grassy, but also grapefruit, mineral and lemongrass aromas. Grapefruit, citrus and hay tones, with soft acidity and a subtle mineral tone. Develops a lime note w/air, and a gooseberry-like quality on the palate. My kind of SB- citrus & grassy qualities without going too far into the bell pepper/jalapeno notes.

Heck Estates (Back): 3/20/10: Soft citrus flavors. Not terribly exciting, but it is well done, and offers a good value. I also like the fact that it isn't amped up. 85-86
3/11/10: Bright citrus fruit. Solidly made. Willing to be restrained, which is nice, it doesn't jump out at you like so many SB's these days. Nice value at the price. 87

Hay and lime peel on the nose. Very clear, very, very pale greenish-yellow in color, almost clear. Very crisp and minerally on the tongue, with flavors of citrus and cut grass. Very crisp and clean with long finish, though not exceptionally complex.

A bit tuti-fruity if you know what I mean. Its also being served warm which doesn't help. Chilled, better methinks.
