As good as had hoped. Fading red colour but a classic old wardrobes nose and complex flavour. Definitely requires food but still healthy if only going one way now.

Drank during Cornerstone Provenance Night Event with more than 30 wines tasting. Did not have enough time to take down notes and didn’t have proper wine glasses. In general, the wines are still drinking fine and have characteristics of old vintage wine; forest floor, some barnyard, spices, tea, hawthorn, toast. I only managed to use my own personal score to rate the wine.

Tasted from magnum. Holding up, but not likely to improve. It was pleasant, with round but subtle fruit, resolved tannins, and hints of graphite. Drink up, but likely able to keep for a while longer only in a large format. Consistent with previous tasting from approximately 5 years ago.

Clear light red with clear edges. Light nose, hardwood floors, poop and earthy red fruit. Dry earthy red fruit flavours and a pretty close to resolved finish.

Fk i think a moth flew out of the bottle... anyway
Smells like a well kept 30+yo French wine. Funny that. Saline edamame rising up to sour tannin. All pleasant if your watching an old movie. But Im not.

Had some issues getting the cork out as it crumbled. Had to filter the pour. Decanted 30min. Format was a magnum.
Still had some delicate fruit and tannins. Very little amber colors. Still drinking well. Hints of tobacco, leather and anise. Very nice. Maybe another 2 or 3 yrs tops.

Second bottle was even better than the first. Subtle nose and a less than spectacular finish, but an excellent wine with black fruits, licorice, soft tannins and excellent structure. The two hour plus decant was def necessary to get it to open properly.

Served from a magnum after decanting for 90 minutes (which helped a great deal). Nose of black fruits but a palette which is less fruit and more earthy, well balanced, dry, leather and subtle spices. A nice surprise.

Had this at Berns. This wine was a touch over the hill. socal thought he detected a little but of taint, which i was unable to detect. We both agreed the wine was drinking very well regardless. Aromatically the wine gave off great light blueberry and cherry notes that were equally matched by traditional leather and tobacco. The bottle age smell was prevalent as well with a lingering mushroom. This was not in its prime, but certainly very much alive. The palate had a fresh acidity, with very round texture, no tannins to be heard of, but no rough edges either. When the wine hit my tongue it expanded revealing layer after layer of sour cherry and mushroom and sprouts. . This was a very persistent wine with a very long finish. It was very old world on the palate, but impressive for a wine that was a little over the hill in my opinion. With time open this started to reveal some very pure and restrained red cherry on the palate and sprout scents on the nose.

Very nice Bordeaux that has admirably outlived expectations from the vintage.

Served from magnum. Dry, tannic, some sense of heat and astringency. Soft herbal fruits to taste. Drink now given the fading fruit.

Medium brownish red in color. Tannins have fell away leaving a good classic Paulliac. Cigar box, beef blood and pencil shavings aboud.

Starting to really brown around the edges. The nose was all cedar and and green peppar. NOt paticularly ripe. Almost Margaret River in flavor profile.
