A small format (375ml) that picks up speed as I indulge... A dark-deep purple gem with slight acidity...berries, plum and slight dried fruits. Probably towards the end of its good run.

Color is almost black. Full bodied monster…reminds me of a Napa version of Amarone. Lots of fruit, complex and long but imho no soul. I like the wine but it is too saturating for my taste. Drink now, it will last for at least 5-10 years but will likely not get better

14.8% ABV. I let it breathe for 1.5 hrs. Drank over 2. Wow. A big, thick, ripe, polished, inky cab with anise notes. As rich as it gets. The anise is a bit too much for me, though. I'll try with a meal on day 2, though. Maybe that would cut the anise.

Among the best Cabs I have tasted. I don’t think they get much better. Dark red, full bodied, lovely aromas, rich dark fruit flavors, excellent balance of tannins and oak, long finish. Perfect with BBQ steaks. No age deterioration. It is a privilege to drink this outstanding wine.

Wow. Probably drinking too many 2010-2012s so this beauty with some additional age on it was singing. Very well integrated with notes of dried cherry, currants on the palate. Not he nose to me had some spice, herbs, pine. More complex than expected. Yes new world, big Cali cab, but this is impressive and would convert many Bordeaux drinkers I imagine. Smooth, velvety, layered mouth feel, like a Bevan wine. N

Big, dense, beautiful nose of licorice, dark fruit, blackberry, currant, spice and oak. This is big on the palate with loads of tannins, heat from the high alcohol yet there' an elegant power. It needs time - lots of it. But well done for a big new world Cali cab.

Beautiful deep crimson tinged with violet. Almost sickly sweet Creme de Cassis, chocolate, and oak treatment that gives a tawny quality to the fruit. Very pleasant fine tannins, decent acidity, and heat that grows tiresome through the finish. Drinkable now, probably several years of life ahead but not likely to improve. The most remarkable feature of this wine was its bottle, probably the heaviest I have ever lifted.

beautiful wine. Finished second out of seven high end cabernets. long life ahead of it but drinking great right now. seemed older and refined but still had classic napa characteristics. highly recommend.

Popped and sat on the table at the restaurant for an hour and a half, no decanters available. Too bad, too, as this would have benefitted from a decanting but it was still a hugely powerful wine with black fruits, nice oak, considerable smooth tannins, cedar and all the standard cab flavors in abundance. Only bottle I had and took it as an oddity more than anything and was pleasantly surprised. One of the first 07 Cabs I've tried and based on this, they will need a couple of years at least but will still drink well early, if you can take it!

Best 2007 Cab so far. This jumped out of the glass. Vanilla Spice, red & black fruit, chocolate. This wine had it all. This was almost too powerful for the prime rib-eye we had.

This is the best California Cab I've ever had. Period. The color is purple-black which happens to be an indicator for the rest of the experience. The nose smells like Spree candy and roses. The attack is huge, with silky red and black fruit. This wine completely coats the palate with a glycerine blanket. The midpalate transition is chock full of ripe black cherry and strawberry shortcake, and the finish goes forever. It felt like I had to swallow twice. This is absolutely incredible wine! Thanks for sharing, Tony!

Big, rich, inky black-fruit wine. full of flavor but still slightly tight. I do think this may improve over the next couple of years.

Well balanced fruit with a long structured finish. I liked it. Complex but very approachable.
