Three days in the Hunter Valley, 13 Cellar Doors, 115 wines; 2/24/2011-2/26/2011 (Hunter Valley, Australia): Some nuttiness on the nose, specifically almonds, mixed with perfume and some charred smoke. Rich and soft palate, which has this strange creamy acidity and fruitiness, with the rubber band cropping up again. The finish is exactly like tasting a sour lime sherbet... quite tart, but very delicious.
