With notes of spontaneous fermentation and a hint of botrytis (at least something very rich), this reminds me a little of a Heymann Löwenstein's wines. It is, however, sharper, drier, more biting, and maybe a little less complex. Well-defined, relatively slender, grape fruit bitter note. Great stuff.

Very happy to discover two bottles of this in the cellar. It remains a wine that is a bit lighter than most GGs but very firm, with a lot of acidity and a wonderful greenish lime and grapefruit bitterness. Cool and quite dry.

Not as thrilling as three years ago. This bottle was much more evolved. Petrol notes, lots of botrytis, fine acidity and mineral core. Still a good wine, but liked it better young. - 89 points

Riesling rendezvous (Bern, Switzerland): Wow, this is stunning. Really gorgeous with tangerine, perfect salt, mineral and savory interplay.Quite peppery and just dances with incredible citrus.

This bottle seemed to confirm my last note from August 2013: This wine seems to become more reluctant. First half, decanted half an hour, was not showing its best in spite of a wonderful rich nose. The second half, drunk three days later (open bottle just left in the 9 degree C wine cellar), was more open and had that wonderful greenish grapefruit bitterness. Generally the impression is that it is closing in, perhaps in order to emerge with a new maturity, who knows.

For reasons that might have to do with the food I seem to find this wine less good than on two previous occasions. It does have a wonderful nose, but seemed to need 24 hours to find it. It is so extremely acidic than it practically cannot be drunk on its own; and then it is so dry that various vegetables with slight bitterness or some sweetness create difficulties. All this is no criticism of the wine, just a memento to say that wine tasting in a real life is not an exact science.

Great Riesling with fabulous balance. Stone fruits, minerality, always crisp and cleansing despite a gentle touch of Botrytis, excellent ripe acidity. Low alcohol and not very opulent. Never heavy or cloying, always fresh and palate cleansing. And the nose ist excellent too. Superb wine. Not sure it will be very longlived though. It is drinking great right now. - 92 points

Decanted an hour. At first, grapefruits and minerals, then gooseberries and minerals, at times quite sauvignon blanc-like. Firm taste with high acidity. Quite different than the Goldloch 05 and 07. Still young. -- Nine days later, the leftovers are in fine shape, actually even better than at first: fragrant, firm, slim and Mosel-like, precise.

Classic nose, sharp, linear.
Clean and linear on the palate too, just a touch salty.

This is so good. Rich and full slightly tropical with noticeable mineral. The wine could use a few more years in the bottle.
