Light garnet in colour. As per previous notes spice and dark fruit on the nose. Very savoury palate full of pepper, spice and dark fruit. Purchased in Seattle in 2001 and the patience has paid off. Quite an enjoyable medium bodied Washington State cabernet. Finishes long and smooth. Has peaked but well cellared bottles should hold for a few more years.

Drank well from a Mag via pop and pour. Nice deep dark fruit sprinkled with brown sugar. Went well with meatloaf. Some dried herbs, plum, cherries, and damp earth on the palate. Drink up...

Nose: Cassis, some nicely integrated oak, some earth and nicely different orange zest.
Palate: Cassis, some dried mixed red berry and soft oak, some earthy undertones. Soft and luscious finish, long...still taste it on the palate nicely a few minutes later between initial sips while preparing dinner.

This wine reminded me a bit of a new world bordeaux. Lots of ripe fruit but also some herbal and earthy notes. Drinking nicely now although there are still some tannins to be resolved. No hurry on this one. Pleasantly surprised by this wine.

Nice mellowed tannins. Nice dark fruit (currant, cherry, and plum) on the nose and palate. Some nice vanilla (oak) and tart berries on the medium finish. Great with lamb. Still had some life left, but the tannins have mellowed and the bright fruit softened.

These bottles of Washington State wine amuse me, but don't motivate me to go out and buy a supply. Maybe I treat them like experiments? I have had many many Cabs from this state and can honestly say, other than a stray here and there, they just don't spin my wheels. This one is no different. Maybe I am seeking Napa style from elsewhere?
Tasted immediately and decanted. The color is a dark cherry cola. The nose reveals some soda pop and some very subdued red fruits. The palate shows the sweetness and slight vegetalness I have come to expect from the appellation. There is some dark cherrie and blackberry. Where's the currant/cassis? Where's the plush? Tannins resoved but that not alone is gonna pull this one out of the hole. Some chocolate and tar toward the finsh which is just ok.. Ho Hum sums it up. Now back to the Valley to the south.

great wine that still needs more time. drank much better on day 3. typical walla walla wine with deep dark fruit and strong tannins. needs at least another year.

I agree with the bright fruit and herb but I have to say that it is just a bit flat. I suspect that it's best days are in the rear view mirror.

This wine has opened up since I last drank it 1.5 years ago. It has a great nose. Flovors of black cherry and tobacco.
