A nice oat-straw color with gold overtones. Honeycomb, creme fraiche, lemon zest, and pear aromas. A little briny as it greets the palate, moving into a meld of nutty and creamy textures and flavors that are cut with mostly citrus and tropical fruit. The oak and malo are balanced nicely, but it lacks just a little bit of the zip of acidity. Lingering finish.

Greenish tinged yellow. Soft tropical fruit nose, maybe like a pineapple coconut smoothie, with notes of apple and some tangerine. There is also some mineral quality that takes this to a nice level. Medium full body with lots of fresh fruit, stones, and smoky minerals. This is a delicious bottle, great with a rotisserie chicken and just fine finishing off on its own. I am not easily impressed with California chardonnay, but this one is really delivering the goods. Terrific QPR.

dBar Tasting (dBar): Clear in the glass. Nose of light peach cream, slightly reduced, touch of good wood. In the mouth, medium-intensity wood, well integrated, and not bad for the style. Seems a tad off-dry, med+ body, but good acid, mostly tartaric with a hint of malic. Clean. The wood is just slightly obvious on the midpalate, but otherwise, very good for the style. 83-6

Beautiful light golden yellow. Bright citrus and lemon zest with a hint of apple. Just a touch of oak and a sweetness to the finish.

Very citrus-y, with apple & and even pineapple. A bit more wood than expected for this take on the style.

Pretty leesy light lemon aroma. Clean & focused light lemon & green apple flavors. Classic Carneros Chardonnay.

Nice apple and pear with a citrus finish. Lightly oaked, almost unnoticeable.

Clean peach & apple aromas & flavors with a chalky finish. A nice vein of sweet fruit makes this a very good example of Carneros Chardonnay.
