This may have been a premox victim but it was very stinky with huge sulfur on the nose and very little redeeming characteristics on the palate. Showed nothing like my first bottle.

This went over very nicely as an apperitif and then paired w/ starters like mussels, swuid and country terrine. Personally did not spend much time with this.

Garagiste Treasure Hunt (Chicago, IL): Tart nose shows green apples and limes. Medium bodied on the palate with more apple and citrus fruit. Well struck balance between fruit and acidic cut. Great pairing with the spiced, citrus ceviche.

Initially funky and reductive, didn't improve much with 45 min. decanting. Threw in a copper penny and things seemed to clean up in a jiffy. Very tasty in fact, this showed best just 5-10 deg below room temp. Impressive concentration and depth for the price. Still relatively young.

Started off the night with this before some serious Spanish reds with friends. Everyone commented how much they liked it. Some chablis don't have enough fruit to balance the minerality but this one seems to strike a good balance.

Far superior to the last bottle, which must have been off. Mature and drinking well. Plenty of pear, minerals, and vanilla, without the tartness of youthful Chablis.

Stony elements of apple, shades of vanilla, and a touch of flint on the finish. Not nearly as good as my previous bottle, lacking thrust and seeming overall just a bit thin. Still enjoyable however.

Pretty lean and stoney with not much fat - crisp apple and pear frut with lots of "minerality", maybe a little salty, good acidity and a nice fresh finish. Not showing much complexity for the age but a vibrant and tasty beverage for $14. Very nice.

Being pretty ignorant when it comes to Chablis, I can't say much more than that I liked this quite a bit. It was definitely leaner (with less baby fat) and more complex than the 05 Domaine d'Elise Petit Chablis, and seemed to have a subtle but interesting and long finish. It wasn't quite as racy and acidic as the 05 Bindi Composition we had last week.

Served with oyster pan roast. Yum! Right off the bat this delivered the goods sporting a nice nose of fresh white pear, sweetened citrus scents and minerals. Quite the accessible Chablis, with forward flavors of crystallized lemon, oatmeal, clay, and touches of vanillin oak. Yet, the wine never deviates from its soil, displaying the tell tale profile of wet stones, flint and of course mouth watering acidity. Great balance and precision on the long finish. An absolute, why didn’t I by a freakin case from Garagiste for $13.99 beverage! I doubt my remaining bottle will see April.

Last one - this one was really the best. No real funk or oxidation. Defintely some bottle age - edges all rounded off, smooth and a bit lush.

This was OK, but not as nice as I would have hoped. This and the last both tasted a bit off - maybe oxicized? But not certain that was it.
