Gorgeous wine! Dark, ripe and lush with blackberry, boysenberry, and black cherry fruit up front. Wonderful balance after almost 20 years with notes of milk chocolate, violets, spice box, and toasty oak. Tannins have softened a bit but they are long and lingering just like the finish. This will still go for years to come.

Pop and pour into the decanter. Slight sediment. Very nice surprise! In the perfect drinking spot. At the peak of secondary notes while still having lush fruits. Leather and saddle notes with outstanding balance. Great aged Napa Cab from an wonderful vintage.

A gift from a friend years back...represents what many big Cali cabs are like from the Parker Cali crazed era...Enjoyable with a big steak...not disjointed at all...fruit still a bit candied

Very nice, balanced. Very good fruit, nice palate feel, spicy black berry and dark cherry. Some secondary notes, leather, oak. Drying just a tad, which took away from the richness I expected. Drink up. Using the cellar tracker assistant: The wine looks Violet colored. The legs are Medium. It smells like Cranberry, Raspberry, Black currant (cassis), Coffee, Oak, and Black Pepper. It tastes like Black currant (cassis), Blackberry, Cedar, and Oak. The body is Medium. The wine has Juicy texture. The wine finishes Medium.
I think a lot of people will dismiss this as a jelly jar fruit bomb. It does however bring me back to my roots. Dark cherry and boysenberry on the nose and palate. A touch of sour cranberry. Rich, sweet, and ripe. Big alcohol is balanced, well crafted. Rich and opulent, but balanced. If Bordeaux is classical, this is rock and roll, but very good. No age apparent, but delicious and fresh. More like a meal, than a compliment to a meal. Worked well with steak

opened and deccanted at first for about 1-1.5 hrs. Initially, the finish was prredominantly alocohlc and too big. Howver, with much patience and an aeration it did subside somewhat. In the end after 4 hrs it was still quite big but the alcohol was noticeably more subdued, though it will probably be there for years. I did like the dark fruit and cassis flavors. mouthfeel was quites expansive. Overall a very nice and typical napa cab. Has a good 5 yrs before it hits peak drinking window.

Wow!! I wanted something special for Christmas Eve with the family. This did not disappoint in any way. Ready to drink -- nice texture, and great Cali Cab fruit. Helped the Holidays come in warm and bright.

Just as good as I remember this being. Last bottle and I had to fight myself to wait 3 years since my last bottle. Rich with currant, plums blackberry, hints of licorice and supple lasting tannins on the finish. This is a real beauty of a wine. Long, elegant full bodied finish lasts for 45+ seconds. Wish I had another case of these to savor over the next ten years or so. Still has room to improve for several more years.

1 hour decant. Medium to full bodied. Concentrated mid-palate, yes. Finished with a blackberry tartness. The lack of finish, tannins or dustiness is disappointing. Tastes like syrah on the finish. Similar to the El Nido Clio.

Very nice after opened for 60-90 minutes, not decanted. Very strong earth and leather scents and very tannic for the first 30 minutes. It unwinds very quickly though considering where it starts. Should improve over the next 5 years but worth opening one now if you have extra. 93 points

What a nice wine. Drinks well now with and hour or so decant. Rich with currant, plum and nice spiciness, with a nice smokey note and plenty of smooth tannins. Great now, but should be even better in a couple of years.

Awsome wine!! probably the best 02 wine I have had and at $75 each a real deal. Reminded me of the 1995 Harlan Estate Huge nose and full throttle mid palate with LONG finish.

Dark red in color. Big rich sweet cherry and dark berries, thick mouthfeel, silky tannins.

Merus esque. Nice upfront spice and leahter. Concentrated mid palate. Lacked to finish of the Merus. Still Great!
