Great nose with mixture of tropical fruit, honey and minerality. The palate is sharp, fresh and salty. Good balance throughout the taste ending with some bitterness and grapefruit character. Could be stored for at least 5 years.

Burgundy 2011 Day 2: Visit to La Chablisienne (Chablis, Burgundy): While not a great wine, this was certainly good - a very nice wine for its price range. I liked the nose with its faint hints of creamy oak, seashell, marl and wite fruit. This was a far deeper and satisfying bouquet than on the La Pierelle. The palate showed really young and a bit backward. Very fresh, very crisp, almost a bit aggressive on the attack with the acidity, but there was enough structure and body on the midpalate to balance it out. Here again I got white fruits with plenty of cirtus limes, grapefruit and lovely stony minerality. The finish was just a bit hollow at the base for me. Unfortunate, because I really liked the energetic purity on the attack and the elegant shape of the wine. Time may bring it around yet - this is one wine I would not mind stocking up on for daily drinking.

Similar to our note in Oct 2015, but perhaps showing more complexity. Very enjoyable over three nights.

Light golden. Bracingly austere. Refreshingly so. Hints of earth. The opposite of flabby. Very nice over three nights.

Tart citrus and minerals. Focused. Some bitterness in the finish. Ok for around $20.

Lightly smoked green apples and asparagus. Extremely restrained presentation of rock , salt and quartz. Lovely sharpness with minerality and energy.

Nice minerality on the nose, its a rounder fuller wine with richer grapefruit and sour apples. Gives a mouth-watering end.
