This is still barely hanging on but needs to be consumed soon (especially since it uses a super questionable pink plastic cork). Candied strawberry and some funky spice on the finish. Better than I expected actually

Absolutely exceptional. Defines the varietal. Defines the vintage. Defines Schrader. And, defines Thomas Brown. Absolutely classic and ready to go. Ready to drink now, but, has plenty of life left. Our last bottle, we are saddened.

This was probably decent in its heyday but these are well past their past for my liking. I bought several from Winebid for $10 and it fine for that, but nothing more for sure. For me as these age the overripeness just shows far too much and stewy/pruny flavors are not what I want in my table wine.

Popped and poured. Sealed with a syncork. Drinking very well right now. Berry fruit, herbs, and woodsy spice with just a bit of stewed fruit just beginnings to show. Thick and viscous. Alcohol was well hidden. A nice restrained, mature zin.

Glad I bought this for the funky bottle, because what was inside was pretty forgettable. Typical hot climate big alcohol zin, but without any of the hedonistic stuff one finds in Turley or Biale or their ilk. Very jammy with a stewed prune and tomato aspect I found rather off-putting. Shared with friends who thankfully enjoyed it more then I did. Still, glad I have the weird decorative bottle.

Zin Offline; 5/6/2008-5/7/2008 (walkers): stewed prune nose which was weird, jammy, rich, alc...but all that seems to have a point and place in this wine. not my style again but i think it needs some more time or perhaps some sweet bbq ribs :) i would give this another shot.

Bing Bing Bing Cherries!!! Ripe and dense briary Bing cherry, plum, raspberry fruit...that's dried and coated in chocolate! Intense dusty dried herbs, peppery spice...nice dryness, yet sweet. Well balanced with oak and alcohol.....reminds me of a killer Port, with only 15% alc. Very very tasty Zin!
