  • Lots of juicy black fruit on the nose and the palate. There is some roundness to the fruit that is pleasing. Rather simple flavor-wise, but other than that a very delicious wine. Quite good at the price point. One thing my friend and I talked about, usually I reserve Merlot for meals, but this is a merlot (previous blends have been around 90 merlot/ 10 pinot noir) that I could just sit and drink, no meal needed. The structure is present but light and pleasing, this is a well built wine overall.

  • Nose is a bit steamy... like, red berries poured on a steaming pile of manure. BUT... it's very juicy and actually fairly pleasing smelling, with some cracked pepper, red apple skins, and a wet steal poll. More red apple skins, fairly acidic with tannins building. Lots of grippy tannins. Really juicy; not so bad.
