Runder gereifter Barolo. Wirklich klasse. Auch wenn er ist so komplex war wie erwartet ist es einfach ein schöner Wein, der genau richtig trinkreif ist. Klasse!

A reticent nose with a subtle elegance, bright red fruit and red flowers. Medium body and medium acidity, with a core of red cherry fruit and dried mushroom on the palate. For a semi-modernist, this drinks like a burgundy, well done.

Bringebær, jordbær, lakris, svisker, litt tobakk, hint av salvie og grapefrukt. Nedslipte tanniner. Trøkket forsvinner litt for raskt i ettersmaken, men har behagelig bitterhet. Mangler littegrann på kompleksitet, men helheten og komposisjonen er bra. Slik liker jeg nebbiolo! Drukket til lammefilet og rødvin- og sopprisotto.

Drank at a party with little air, but this wine was delicious. A bit linear, but very well balanced with no sharp edges showing. Finally my 1996 Piedmonts are pulling together and drinking like their potential suggested they would.

Extremely long and lots of extracted dark cherry fruit. Stays clear of raisiny with a cool nose and menthol back end. A little round and over polished for my taste, but it's in a great place right now.

Still a bit young. After about an hour opened up a bit. Classic aromas of rose petals, tar and briary red fruits. Nicely structured fruit inthe mouth with ripe tannins, moderate complexity and excellent acidity.This wine will probably never be great but I think it will improve with a few more years in the bottle.

Decanted, no sediment. Muted nose but sweet nebbiolo, which uncharacteristically appealed to the hyoertaster, Ellen.A modern Barolo, drinking well now. Balanced, I do not see long term improvement.
