This is just perfectly mature now and showing so well. Nothing overdone here with such a fine silky texture and a lovely layered finish with notes of dark fruits and minerals. Lunch at the winery.

Decanted briefly. Stunningly firm, pure, and dense blackcurrant with beautiful acid lift and earth. I did not expect such good structure from a 2007 or from Melbury but this is absolutely singing. No reason to hold further. Wonderful.

Drinking well already, the driving characteristic is the purity and focus of the fruit. I'm half of a mind that this wine will drink at its best younger than not, but I will save my other copy for a while to see. Truth to tell we haven't ever been too patient with Bond, because it's so compelling young. Excellent wine.

Blackberry and sweet corn magnitude. Pretty flying acid. Med/+ tannin. Really missing the mid-palate that this price point deserves, but again, this wine took on more as it was open an hour or two. We didn't really give it the time that it a wine like this needed to open up.

A complex wine no doubt with mostly red berries, currant and plum with blueberry accented by crushed rocks. Medium full body with screaming tannins. This should age as well as the 01.

Fantastic wine that still has some life. Won’t open my last btl until 2026/2027.

Disappointing. Flavors were muted, without the vibrant fruit I expect from an 07 Napa Cab
