Lost this one somehow. Opened it and let it sit for a few hours. It was not over the hill. No Brown on the rim. Even had some fruit on the nose. A well made wine.wish thatIhad more of it.

Nose of herbs spice and cherry. Unfortunately the wine doesn't fully deliver on that promise, but has more candied cherry and raspberry than the subtleties I look for in a good pinot. Very drinkable, and for this price I don't expect a lot more.

Drank with sanna and ryan in san diego after a day of surfing. Nose of red cherries, soft wood and florals. Plush tannins, rich fruit, vanilla and toast. Milk chocolate on the finish. For this style, and this price, its a good pinot.

Nice strawberry and black cherry on the nose. Little heavy initially on the alcohol. A little heat but it's quite silky and gives way to some real nice fruit. Very nice on it's own. Definitely would buy again. Perfect Pinot for a warm night at the hollywood bowl and great price

Wine builds, starting with nondescript nose, little on the attack, but ending with mineral and oak finish of respectable length. Not a bad pinot, but not a remarkable one either.

Thrid bottle: Yet another easy drinking pinot. We found this enjoyable after drinking white wines on hot nights. Sitting on our deck, smelling the smoke from the Arizona fire (and we're in New Mexico)...No change from my previous reviews in spite of the smoke.

Delicious. Deep purple color. Muted cherries on the nose. Lush, smooth, flavors of cherry, and maybe a little blackberry. This seems to have matured since the '07...almost "Delicious!"

A lovely approachable pop and pour pinot. Beautiful light color with scent of strawberries and violets. This is full of flavor all the way through to the finish. I tell myself that I like big wines but this is not a big pinot yet so enjoyable. Not a wine I have to dissect...just happily enjoy and at a great price.

Popped and poured this tonight on a Friday night in at room temperature after having to source this on a business trip last week. Ruby red and purple hues in the glass, thinning significantly towards the rim showing its youth. On the nose, some strawberry and cherry dominate, with some side spice, cola, and earth. On the palate, the first thing I get is sour cranberry, and lots of it. Secondary nuances of strawberry, cola, and funk dominate the palate as well, with some alcohol and funk. Put a vacuum on this and will try it again tomorrow. With ¾’s of a bottle left on day two, it has mellowed out a tad, but the cranberry still dominates. This is a sour pinot noir, but it does show that hint of the Santa Rita Hills that I love. Not sure that this is a bad bottle, or maybe this wine is just too young to be consumed. Hard to say at this point. Regardless, finished two glasses, and left a glass for tomorrow. Forgot about this wine in the fridge with a vacuum on it, and at day 5 it is completely undrinkable. This wine was best on day two, and worthy of 83 points. Guessing this wine just needs more time. Cheers.

Delicious. Mid-purple color. Thin legs. Fresh cherries on the nose. Sharp, intense flavor (briefly) at first, then relaxes into a mild finish. Have't had this for awhile - now I remember it as a friendly, consistent label in Pinot. Good stuff!

This bottle's nose initially had some funk going on. Eventually it blew off but not totally. What I really like about this wine is its texture and body which is unusually smooth and velvety. There is lots of vanilla and bright cherry. Overall though, the 2008 isnt as good as years past.

Used to make Coq au Vin and tasted just enough to realize this is a real, if simple pinot. Great everyday pinot as good or better than the Bogle of a few years ago and at a great price at Costco.

I tried a second bottle and this review is on day 2 which made a difference. More open and less watered down. Cranberry, spice, coffee and cola notes. On the finish it picks up some mineral notes.

Right out of the bottle was not good so I waited a few hours to sample again. Smoke, strawberries, wafer and cranberry on the nose. Candied fruit, cranberry but the palate lacks comlexity and is a bit watered down. Weak finish and really the only thing good about this wine is the nose. I will try this wine and day 2 and see if anything changes.

Now this I like. This is a wine that reminds me of the 2008 Kosta Browne Sonoma Coast with it's rich bouquet and smoky aftertaste. I felt the KB was a high powered pinot but this Cambria is a bit smoother and more subtle, more to my liking. Still a bit strong for me, but very well done.

Riedel Tasting (Vitis Riesling, Montrachet, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet glasses) (Miele Gallery, Kenilworth, IL): Pretty, clear medium-dark cherry tinged with purple. Simple fruit nose, with faint oak. Slightly dusty and hot dark pinot fruit on the palate, with some interesting red berry and spice. Dusty and warm finish. Quite decent.
