Sinking cork, even with the Durand the cork crumbled on exit consequently it was very gently decanted. on the nose it's initially quite herbaceous; mint; even a little green capsicum, brambles, leather, earth, a touch of red plum, cedar, sweet spice. In the mouth it's juicy, fleshy with wild dark hued fruits, tannic burr is still faintly drying and wholemeal flour textured, fruit persists joined by leather, the herbaceous note is more tobacco leaf on the palate. Really lovely. What a nice surprise. Consumed with lamb chops
