Golden color. Looks viscous. Woody, wet wool aromas. Initially thought it was faulty. Some sweet hazelnut, honeyed crisp apple notes in the background. Maybe a touch of cinnamon and lemon peel. Lush palate. Rich and full. Butter, toast, marzipan. Sharp finish. Very long and satisfying. Maybe not quite at its best, but far better than the previous bottle.

Restrained in alcohol for an Australian white, with good acidity and length. Nice complexity - a very good wine, but maybe only lacking a bit of excitement.

More of the same but with bells on! Tremendously poised, deliciously smooth. Bags of stuff going on in the glass. One of the best new world chardonnays I've had. Thanks for the compliment lozatron. Was thanks to Jancisrobinson.com and of course a BBR sale. Great combo to find a bargain or two.

Much more developed than the last bottle we had. Deeper colour, more intensely honeyed and waxy aromas. Very nutty. Marzipan and toffee notes. Sweet ripe fruit palate. Dried citrus peel and dried stone fruits. Dry finish. A wine that needs food.

I noticed this usually retails around £40 a pop or more, so I was delighted to have picked up a case for just £17 per bottle in the BBR sale. Even more so when I popped the cork on the first bottle and had a first taste. Took me right back to my last trip to the Yarra. There's a whiff of new oak - which is evident in the smokiness and spice - but the overwhelming aromas and flavours are a cocktail of citrus and stone fruits. Particularly dried apricot. The malo is evident in the lush creamy flavours. There's a super minerality to it also, and fresh natural acidity, which balances the depth of rich fruit, and gives it a nice mouthfeel. Toffee butterscotch flavours persist through the finish. It's certainly approachable now, but it will evolve well, and therefore improve, over the next couple of years. Great stuff. Can't wait to have the next bottle!

Very mineral, intense, oak very well integrated. Burgundian, slightly riper, but very elegant.

Nutty, slightly bitter, with roaring acidity. Perhaps waning now, and slightly oxidized. Time to drink up.

Just hit a beautiful drinking window. Rich, well balanced acidity, complex and long.

- Yellow gold color and has flavours of pineapple - Lovely creamy peach and pear. Oak almost undetectable. Very very good.
