Dark crimson. Barnyard, muted black and red fruits on the nose - great aromatics More barnyard, plenty o’ fruit on the somewhat thin palate - but something sour on the backend. Expected the funk and austerity, but was hoping for something silkier and ound.

Earthy, discreet, Old World bouquet. Cherries, underbrush, pastille, and dried flower aromas have a candied edge. Bright, lip smacking entry is energized by a hint of citrus and racy acidity and middle weight flavors are driven by crisp minerality and wet earth tones. Tightens up a notch on the broad finish. Lively, nervy, and harmonious.

Wasn't quite together. At first sour and little fruit. Later as it opened up, the wine was more coherent, but still not well balanced. Not surprising for the vintage

This has certainly improved since the last bottle I had. I decanted this a couple of hours before serving. Lot's of red fruit in the nose - with hints of the classical smoked notes of GC

Relatively dark for the year. Some chocolate and coffee behind the red fruits. Decanted once before serving. Less nose than expected, maybe the wine is not fully 'open' at the moment.

Have had many bottles of this vintage over several years. This wine is now coming in to its own. Tonight it was very enjoyable and best bottle yet

Lots of sour cherry. Not in love with this wine, but not bad for the $30 I paid.

Good balance - fantastic fruit - lots of red berries, a hint of animal notes. Good to drink now, but I'm sure this will improve further.
