This is in a fabulous place. There's an iridescent glow to its appearance, with a green tinge. It starts off with a light butteriness and some spearmint. With air, fresh citrus fruits appear and there is pure white peach at its core. It if full with sneaky power yet beautifully contained. The finish is direct and precise and length drives on and on.

Served blind to Walter. Michael and Charles at Lalimes in Berkeley. PnP. Brioche and a touch of orange peel in the nose. On the palate, Charles says "caramel". Walter says "burnt peach", and Michael says "apricots, , rich, but with lots of minerality". I'm getting butterscotch, citrus, and some kind if tropical fruit.Much going on prior to a penetrating finish. Walter guesses 2005 Meursault. Because id the minerality, Michael guesses 2010 high end Chablis (Raveneau?). Charles guesses 2005 Chassagne. Michael says "it may be too rich for a Chassagne." All good guesses, but ut is a Chassagne. But then it is a Ramonet (Morgeot). It went nicely with my sea bass.

Four Chardonnays and a Merlot (Trelissick Crescent, Ngaio, Wellington, New Zealand): This was the best Chardonnay that i have had in quite some time! The poise, texture, balance, and intensity are extraordinary. Drinking its peak, but I can only imagine this wine ageng further. the butterscotch opulence of the fruit is balance by the tension of the soft acids, meal and intense minerality.

Well balanced, entering drinking window now. Still on the young side though but acidity and oak has started to balance out to create a pretty good experience. Complexities associated with well aged white burg it has not, but I will not risk premox on these bottles.

really really nice, similar to my previous notes but this bottle had more acid and verve and that made it extra special... i prefer this slightly more linear (if you can use that term with Ramonet) side of Dom. Ramonet, and you don't see it that often... reminded me of the bottle of this wine we had in Bora Bora... great memories to recall for sure

this was typical Ramonet with a lush rich style, good for the team we had dinner with, in fact 3 of 5 wanted to start with the red and i implored them to just take a sip of this and they all were going back for seconds, some apple and pear (where i prefer citrus fruit), good wine but i'll generally buy more chablis and more tense PM or CM producers going forward

beautiful, more tense on the pop and pour, rounded out over the three hours we had this wine, felt very luxurious / rich by the end… i little more than i prefer though my guests liked it better and better as it rounded out, even then it was more mineral and citrus than tropical in nature

good but not as good as the bottle on 2/5 (last week)… the note is accurate but there was some slightly obtrusive oakiness in this one and it detracted a bit

very very good when opened to decant for Tiff to take to girls night out, only tried on pnp after one hour of decant, but this was really good, rich citrus with some banana (?) and a sweet and acid combo that really hit the spot for me, interestingly Tiff said it changed a lot over the course of dinner (sounded like it may have gone south, so maybe this is near term drinking, as i find some Ramonet's are)

In the somewhat reticent bouquet crustacean and some white fruits. On the palate a good concentration, some butter, white fruits, good acidity and bitterness. A mouth filling wine with a good length.

Clear light green color. Nose rich fruit filled dried pear/white peach and touch of lime. Very rich fruit based palate, not elegant but just delicious. Good acid/tannin finish with great length. Very good if somewhat obvious wine. My experience is that these age much longer than expected.

A half bottle to replace the flawed AC wine. Ah, this is a lot more like it-light yellow, bright citrus, flowers and just a bit of mint. Wonderful sense of physiologic ripeness and sucrosity on the entry with a soft feel, but then the acid asserts itself in midpalate. Deft and delicate, not to mention quite drinkable and delicious now. I would never have predicted that an '08 Premier Cru would be so ready at this stage, but if I owned it, I would not be holding bottles for very long.

Great place now with mostly mature orchard and stone fruit, lots of wintergreen, autumn flowers, and earth in great combination. No further upside.
