Vibrant straw yellow. Lemon and grapefruit nose. Medium bodied, lemon rind, decent acid, almond, and a tangy medium to long finish. Not showing its age at all.

At last, some Bordeaux style Sauvignon Blanc. I tend to agree with Bill Eyer, of Cuvee Corner, who said in a recent interview on Snooth: most new world Sauvignon Blanc has “too much over the top freshly cut grass [and is] overly citrus-y…”The ’09 nose requires a bit of patience–it does not leap out–eventually some lemon curd and minerality poke through. On the palate the acidity is subtle and in line with the fruit. This wine is doing fine and has some time to go. Very Good. thedrunkencyclist.com

Blind California Whites (My Place - Washington, DC): Clean lemon color. Green melon, lime and sea breeze on the nose, a bit of white pepper and floral notes. Crisp and tangy throughout, I get themes of lime, honeydew melon, white peach, but also underlying spice and sea brine notes, which I like. A lot of depth to this wine, equal parts creamy fruit and live-wire acid and minerals. Complex, and very delicious, begging for oysters, salads, goat cheese. I was surprised to see it’s a 2009 because, if anything, I thought this could stand a year or two. Impressive stuff, that’s for sure.

This aint yo mama's Sauvignon Blanc, on the heavier/richer side, if your looking for a fresh SB don't go here, that said, this has it's place and is pretty interesting. Not amazing but very good.

San Diego WineSpectator.com Offline, 6/28/2012 (Casa Racer117): 13.9% alcohol. Very light clear straw color. Notes of unripe green kiwi, white grapefruit, herbs, lemongrass, smoke, oak. Outstanding. THIRD PLACE tonight.

Good, but a rather subdued Califonria SB; not a lot of acid to give this wine the backbone and interest I prefer.

Wine Blogger's Conference 2010 - White Wine Live Blogging (Wine Blogger's Conference, Walla Walla, Washington): Pears, light yellow cake, and a bit of smoke show on the nose. This wine has a thick texture, and mid strength acidity that sticks around for a while. Some pear flavors show, but there isn't a whole lot of fruit. The heavy texture persists through the finish.

3rd Annual Expedition Wines American Homegrown tasting (Webster's Wine Bar, Chicago IL): nose: aromatic and fresh nose of white fruits, mineral tones, lemon peels and bits of melons
taste: pretty lighter feel with medium/high acidity and fresh tones of whtie fruits, citrus tones, minerals, and some bits of lemon peels
overall: there wasn't much depth to the tones, but this was an enjoyable sauvignon blanc
