  • If this weren't $23 at my local shop, it'd be my everyday bottle of wine. Deliciously funky

  • 40% Gamay, 30% Malbec, 20% Cab Franc, 10% Pinot Noir. Cool blend, right? Nice color, slightly darker than a usual French Pinot, but still slightly see through. Nice spicy nose, coming through with well defined red cherry notes with a great hint of an earth and a slight green pepper/vegetal note from the cab franc, even a slight hint of floral potpourri. In the mouth, medium bodied. This ain't your typical Grape Kool Aid Gamay based wine. Beautiful acidity, as you would expect. Very much a wine for food. Get some slight sour cherry and blueberry action, great grip on the midpalette with the sour fruit and that vegetal note. Tastes like those really tiny, sour, wild raspberries you find in the forrest. Finishes nice and clean, leaves you salavating. Could definitely see as a red wine for fish. I like it, but not for everyone. Gotta dig those weird wines to enjoy this.
