Muted citrus w/excellent body. Drank with 2 fish dishes. Mixed scallops, shrimp, clams, & mussels with risotto and lake trout grilled on a cedar plank w risotto. Excellent w both.
Highly recommend Chez Jude in Grand Marais MN. This is where we ate and tried the wine.
Have a wee walk on the Superior Hiking Trail while u are in the area.

Excellent Sauv Blanc. Enjoyed outside in Park City, Utah with crackers, cheese, and hummus. Not dull like other Sauv Blancs, but very sweet with exciting fruit notes. One of my favorite Sauv Blanc wines to date.

A bit too acidic on opening. After 15 minutes or so the citrus toned down and the wine opened up with hints of melon. Very enjoyable on its own but probably should have served with cheese.

Pineapple, pleasant bitter and "apple wax". I'm not sure what that means but if there was a wax that was used to make apples shiney, then this would be what it would taste and smell like.

I've always liked the Honig SB. Pretty nose of honeysuckle, tropical fruits, and rose petals. Sweet tropical fruit up front, transitions to grapefruit explosion on mid palate. But not bitter or tart. Nicely balance. This will be outstanding in summertime.

Mellon. Pineapple. Pear. Apple. Pleasing weight and mouthfeel. Good acidity but not the stinging NZ Sauv Blanc type. None of the greenness that turns me off about some SBs. Touch of creamy fruit.

A light straw color. Grassy notes greet the bouquet; along with kiwi fruit and melon. Tart acidity rounded out nicely with creamy tropical and citrus notes. Finishes with a steely minerality that lingers nicely. Easy and enjoyable.

I had a chance to try this back in May on my trip to Napa and I must say I think it has improved since then. It has a beautiful floral nose with flavors of citrus, nectarine, peaches and a nice acidity. Just a great Sauvignon Blanc and for the price you can't beat it.

softer acid next to the 09 bogle and 08 shannon ridge. peaches and cream on the nose. polished chalk. peaches and cream on the palate. very easy acid on this wine. quite a nice creamy element to the feel of this wine.

Oh my what a delicious wine. If you're looking for a wine to share with guests who don't usually drink wine I think you might find them guzzling this one with delight. And for guests that do drink wine, if they're not adverse to a little fruit-forward, slight sweetness to their wine I think they'd appreciate this one too.
If we take Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc as the baseline for new world SB and subtract the edgy zingy pungent aromatics and replace it with new world tropical goodness- I think you have this wine.
Depending on the mood you're it might suit you very well.

Lovely citrus fruit aromas. Acid has mellowed some but still pretty bright for a 5 year old/$11 SB.

Nice citrus fruit. Very fresh and easy to drink. Exactly the type of SB I like on a hot summer day.

Meh. There's better stuff out there. There's something in the flavor profile, that I cannot put my finger on, that I just do not like.

Oaky, some minerals, hint of lime. Medium bodied, quite creamy and not refreshing. Just OK, definitely not my style of sauv blanc.
